What often seems to happen at 9am is a gap closing to the level of the JSE close at 5pm the previous day. Could see down to IG 39788 (opening price of 17:00 candle). Then - game on.. up or down? everyones waiting :)

Interesting how subjective charting can be. Your 40k horizontal line didn't even feature on my dailies. I do not necessarily agree with you, but I see your point. Let's see what transpires.

:)

Sorry, could not resist it

Let's see what tomorrow brings. ;)

Bow, Scrape, Cower...

You shall have a full apology if she breaks and sustains 40000. That will be the trend reversal for me.

NEW YORK — Turkey Day has a way of increasing investors' appetite for U.S. stocks.

In fact, investors tend to gobble up stocks and push prices higher from the end of Thanksgiving week through year's end, according to data compiled by Bespoke Investment Group.

Going back to 1945, the broad Standard & Poor's 500-stock index has posted has average gains of 1.8%, with positive returns 71% of the time in the period from Thanksgiving to year's end, Bespoke says.

And the bullish action is even better when the market is up more than 10% at Thanksgiving (which it is this year): The index is up 1.9% when the market is up big heading into Turkey Day. And since the bull market began in 2009, the S&P 500's post-Thanksgiving rally has been even bigger, with gains of 4.4% and gains 100% of the time.

I will start shorting the S&P around 1830

Im taking 800 pips off the table and closing 60% of my longs...We might have had a bullish engulfing candle on the daily today but I dont like trading it in a primary downtrend. And would like confirmation of the trend reversal .I also  have a small short also just opened @ 39770. I have no idea what the close of the US markets for 2 days might do and I want to see another test off that 39600 level again!

C - what will confirm a reversal for you?

Well, on dailies we have a outside engulfing bull bar, if one ignores the bottom 12 pip difference, but trend line not broken yet, and on 4 hours the trend line is broken, and one 1 hour, M's thingy is pointing upwards. Seems US will close green.....

Difficult for me to feel bearish, bar a chance of retrace tomorrow ....

Lol P It took me a few minutes to compose my post and after I post I see you have just stolen my thunder :) while composing mine!

All fine .....won't sue you! Send a tinkie!
