Fabes it could be a pump and dump situation

Its basically Friday to the US markets.

Its a long weekend.

December will be interesting.

Our markets, including FTSE are low and US markets high.

We just have to many resource stocks.

Markets without resource stocks are at highs.

FTSE has big resource stocks too.

Could become confusing when you say 'buy' and a newbie thinks it's TOP40 and not DAX.

But should be fine if you specify.

Long time since I've seen our market so much out of touch with the rest though...last year we were stronger and they weak, probably going to be the case next year again!

Chart from StockTwiTs

Markets are high but investors feel poorer. No wonder markets just keep going.

Goldman Sees S&P 500 Falling 10% Next Year Before Rally to 1,900

It will be best to short the S&P around 1830 then.

BOA/ML suggest going long UST 10's bonds at 2.78% for a move to 3.5%, as part of its top trades for 2014.

This means USD/ZAR will be around R11.30 next year.

Those without money offshore must start diversifying now. You don't want to wake up with less buying power. The Rand will be toilet paper soon.

Cant wait for it to be R20 GBP/ZAR. London tourists will love that.

With a 0.7% GDP, i can say South Africa is in a recession

When gold hits $1000 it will be the best time to buy gold stocks.

Best to also start buying Spanish IBEX index after next years correction. With all the ECB low rates and LTRO Spanish stocks will offer more value.

My biggest bet next year will be in Europe stocks/index

Just some money management advise :P  :P  :P  :P  :P

Trading may not be suitable for everyone so please ensure that you fully understand the risks involved

Leveraged products and can result in losses that exceed deposits

DAX is an index, think it would be better for all the index traders to be in one forum.

The Rand is the easiest trade to go long.

I'm waiting for it to drop below R10.00 again then i will take the biggest long position for a good 2014

It might drop if the FED dont taper on Dec 18th.

But it will go above R10.00 very fast again.

With gold i am waiting for the FED to taper, then gold will drop to $1000 for a good long.

Wonder what is Roffey's view now on gold that dropped so much...

After 5 years of calling a top on the ALSI he must be smiling at last..that guy!

Farouk (senior senior member) mentioned earlier this year gold will drop to $900...KUDO's!!

Dollar chart looking pretty bullish so think more currency weakness ahead..including the rand!

DAX shooting the lights out

Keep your longs.

I will just post FTSE,DOWand DAX trades here for those who trade them.

For those who don't, best to start a international account today.

Good for money management. You can have loosing trades in top40 and have winning trades in others.

Thanks; looking forward!

We have RBA next week Tuesday. So AUD can rise if they don't cut rates. Then you get the risk on mood again till January

I'm planning to risk a long position on AUD/USD

GBP/USD and EUR/USD broke resistence today, so risk on mood might be also starting before December Risk On month

ECB and BOE rates are next week. If they don't cut then dollar will be in trouble leading to FED December 18th taper talk.

Bernanke's last meeting, don't think he wants to end with a bang just a few days before Christmas

Yellen would also not want to start with a bang.

Some say taper will never come

But anything can happen

Just my 2c
