Reason for sa40 to go higher while the other indicies are down, firstly should have picked it up in the charts to take advantage of, the reason is because the miners up today, all else has rallied so now miners chance to have taken the market higher, into new highs in this case

Reason why our index will just grind higher until the FED tapers.

 

Our index is diversified.

Today the Miners are up. Anglo,BHP,Impala,Exxaro etc.

 

When the miners are tired SAB, Richemont, NASPERS will take over.

 

When industrials are tired Shoprite,Massmart, Mr Price,Foshini will take over.

 

The cycle continues until the FED close the taps. Then they all come down.

Hello everyone ... BRAND new here, but I have been following these posts for a while now. Any ideas as to what the US market will do today?

Yes i have an idea, BUY THE FU*KEN DIP.

I already have a long on NASDAQ, will buy more if it open lower.

 

ALSI will touch 41250 today

Ha, haven't you heard? Bad news is good news!

The market has been through Syria,Tapering and Debt Ceiling.

 

What more do the bears want. You might wait for another 3 years for the bad news. Some have been waiting for the past 4 years. Bull just keep making money.

Hi,

 

Long time lurker... I have learned a lot, thanks!

 

I've been long on the alsi at 40619 since the 25th of October(just 1 mini lot, I'm still learning;-))

 

When I went long then I drew these fib extensions of the downleg from 09/26 to 10/09.

 

Have not been confident we would reach them the last few days, but now we have gone through the 50% extension, and the 100% extension is within reach.

 

Of course this could all be complete luck considering I really don't know what I'm doing...

 

Still long for now!

Why up every one red must drop blah blah blah. Go long dont be scared we are goiing up more.Follow the trend make money sell when or If she turns.

Ja well, please let me know when/if she turns, cause every time I think she's turning up, she goes down and vice versa. I'm still in the dumb rookie trader phase, even though I somehow still do manage to make money  :huh: Trying my best to trade what I see and not what I expect, but maybe I need a new set of glasses? Now I'm just trading by averaging up and averaging down and that seems to work okay, thus far.

If this crazy thing hits 41200 then I am closing my long, will then be looking to short.... Although I am pro-bull... surely there should be some kind of mini correction :blink: (+-250 points?)

why you say that? I presume you mean 250 down today?
