Just heard a little birdy sing that Fitch will downgrade the outlook of USA debt tomorrow..will have to see if it is true but if..watch down below folks! AThat would really pull the floor from under the bulls. I am truly enjoying this drop. Have been waiting a while for it. Though it hasn't gone very far down yet, it has given some good reprieve. I think tomorrow we will see another down jerk, Obama is giving a hardliner speech, and I expect Johni B to reply equally hard lined. So no resolution yet. Each day, default becomes more and more probable.

Me upside-down take is, the bottom is in for now. Time to sharpen the longs again.
Time will tell.

We have eventually closed the gap from the 18th Sept.
If we go much further down a lot of bulls might start panicking and fight to get out of their positions.

She (J200) has also hit the bottom of her downward channel...hence an upward push is likely, before she goes further down.

A...You really think we will break the 50d MA? Last time we broke was in the middle of June?
Chubs,
Yip, the US is dealing with a IV wave down before the final V wave up that could end the bullmarket (new highs), but should only be next year.
With QE still in place think we could see a massive rally into year end after this good correction, the weekly RSI negative divergence should then be invalidated that could support such a move..but don't be surprised to see 1580 first on the SPX into the 17th!
Is possible we could start a mini upleg (wave 4) from here before the final impulse wave (wave 5) hit next week!US bit oversold and showing positive divergence...but staying short!

38573 on the button...
Also be aware that because IG trades 24 hours their open/close/high/low prices are different to close of day figures (J200), and that all derived stats like MA will differ slightly when using other charting programs!

think Chubby also using IG's pro-Realtime graphing wh is part of platform - hoave now called up their 'Chart' option , not their Pro-Real Time' and there I see 38574 is the 50d SMA - thanks guys for replies - I am going to call IG and tell them to check the discrepancy

This could turn very ugly for bulls, 9 days left for debt ceiling to be resolved. Every day it not resolved we should keep dropping. I wont touch a long with a pair if pliers right now
Scary stuff.
Bears need to eat too.
