Hi Guys, I know its too late to do anything about those trades and irritating reversals at exactly the time you got out.

I found this book extremely handy, especially when faced with the pain of being long when you hit the bottom of the base. Going short or closing a long at the bottom of the base especially near a support line after a down day is according to this guy, an absolute no no. He has saved me quite a few bucks in school fees with just this piece of advice. Its on Amazon and an easy read.

Thanks for the advice, Shortboy. Went long again overnight on the good news and made my money back, with some cash to spare. Will get the book asap.

It is actually not a very smart trade. But lets see what happens.

What are the charts saying A?

Could they see the FED isn't going to taper?

Yes , thanks a lot for all the input and replies.

a good long entry? 39441 right now  but pull back

maybe consider buying the Dec-13 T40F's if onw think there is bound to be more up for S&P500 in comming days ( continuation on the strength of the exhuberance after a small profit taking session?)

Whats best for tomorrow - GFI   HAR  PAN OR ANGLO ASHANTI

Can you please rank them in what you think is best. I think GFI and Ashanti

Personally i like the small cap Gold Miners.

My best gold mine at the moment is PAN and DRD

A mine with a good growth prospect is Sibanye Gold. It has uranuim deposits which also form as a by product.

High Dividend payer.

Since its Gold One Cook operation take over, i can see huge potential for growth here. Its one to buy and keep for at least end of Janaury.

GFI, Ashanti, Harmony i dont trade.

Small caps are the better option. DRD GOLD very good up and downswings for trading

Hey Jakes,

You have played your strategy perfectly for quite a while now. You picked the top spots to go short of as well as profitable exits all the way down. You don't seem to be too greedy either.

At the heart of your trading plan from previous posts of yours the basic idea of 50 points or more twice a day looks like a good one.

You had a great day out today! Thank you for taking the time to post your results.

Thanks ShortBoy

Yes Ninja we back to the old scenario. Still have to watch out though,I think if we correct it is going to be a sudden move... US rallied reaching new high and settled, FED outlook on growth allso lower. What really changed Nothing!! So will ride this bounce and close longs as soon as we loose a bit of steam. Will go short from 39800 if we reach that.

Agreed BC. Long target for Ben's Bounce is 39750-ish. Will re-assess from there. We still need to have a correction before the end-of-year rally.

I suppose postponing the QE tapering has solved south africas economic woes, and everything from unions to consumers is now all rosy again.. So further up we go?

All three majors are so bombed out and oversold... but HAR the most geared so should bounce more. Perhaps GFI over ANG as GFI has sorted its wage negotiations whilst ANG still need to settle with AMCU which means there is still some risk

Well, I suppose going long in opening auction tomorrow will still yield you some profit, even if you aren't long already....
