HI Jakes , youre level headed on this - at what point do feel the T40F's too reach to go for tomorrow?

I mean  with this news and the S*P500, Ftse  etc already stretched,

FTSE 6670 target is coming soon.

S&P 1740 soon

ALSI sky is the limit

Now the Rand is strong, property stocks will rise

Gold and Platinum is up.

Lucky i bought DRD Gold, Sasol and NewGold Platinum before close.

Fed's Bernanke says long-term unemployment remains high.

Federal Reserve Chairman Bernanke says unemployment rate at 7.3% is still too high

Who's laughing now

I'm overjoyed. Had a long position after market closed and left it (took 250 points on R50 contract) - I interpreted a small taper or no taper to be positive and with S&P 500 close to record high, I though she might just get there.

Mostly, I was just lucky... lol :D

No tapering. I will buy tomorrow morning first thing with all I have. These idiots will only stop once the bubble bursts. What a joke It is one of the biggest transfers of wealth ever! Rich get richer, and the poor..... well Senusis said it, the pigs get slaughtered.

Dollar smashed on Fed zero taper

Bernanke cements his legacy as the most dovish central banker of all time.

Taper tasered, stupidly. Bernanke led the horse to water but wouldn't let him drink

FOMC wants more evidence of growth before tapering.

That means the FED tapering is priced in, which means S & P 500 will reach a record high tonight and all other markets will follow in an uptrend? Or am I hoping for too much?

S&P 500 RECORD HIGH!

IG CASH 40 Recovers todays losses - almost!

if priced in as you say it means it is in the price and S&P 500 stays same.

but must also read what is not said tonite . eg on interest rates etc - and dont expect first reaction to be the new direction - and also dont go by first direction market takes - steady moves is the major funds with clout behind them not the me and you traders. - no I dont presume to know! so many opposite views by people knowing a lot more than me

Another piece of advice I got from that book was, don't anticipate i.e. enter a trade, on the receipt of news, wait for confirmation of supply and demand direction in your chart. That one in particular, as difficult as it is to stick to, saved me a bundle.

Consensus is for taper of +-$10 bil a month

The market thinks it is priced in. I am not so sure, but it remains to be seen. Bernanke said he expects asset purchases to be done by 2014. So interest rates in SA will climb, we all know what that means for equities.

Did the same with a R20k loss!

Hi Guys, I know its too late to do anything about those trades and irritating reversals at exactly the time you got out.

I found this book extremely handy, especially when faced with the pain of being long when you hit the bottom of the base. Going short or closing a long at the bottom of the base especially near a support line after a down day is according to this guy, an absolute no no. He has saved me quite a few bucks in school fees with just this piece of advice. Its on Amazon and an easy read.

I usually try, but I find myself occasionally swayed by peoples enthusiasm!

Appreciate your advice... Don't wanna be a pig.

Build your own strategy, and let the inputs from, where-ever, just compliment it.
