The sideways action indicates a gradual improving of buying interest. The gap closing improves the outlook of the bullish stance. A higher high should confirm sub-minuette ii either at this low or the next. However, a move below minuette (ii) would lean heavily towards a continuation of the bear trend.

On the 15 minute chart it is seen that Minute wave i is respectful of the upper boundary of the channel as it turns into Minute wave ii
