States normally runs into Thanksgiving then turn down again, so with you on trend currently up although choppy!But ALSI seasonals turn down this week into FOMC mid December, especially with this run only being due to the TenCent/NPN post earnings run that usually occurs. Charts wise one can see she wants to break 46700 fut and my take she should do it tomorrow morning and get a good rally, but wont get past R1 that is around 47350fut, good sell there. Should also pierce the upper 5H bb..then we know it is a medium term sell.

 

With this low liquidity in the market doubt we will see 48/49 soon again..but let's see what mr market is up too! Hope you are profitable!

ACCOUNT NET LONG ......From 44987......45981.....45722.......2 intermediate shorts from 46.......will hold for 1st target 44.....in C wave down.......LONGS targeting 47 48 and 49.......very uncertain about what happens if 47 is struck though maybe add another intermediate short.....or maybe neutral there or net short........Depends if the americans are gonna strech this.........first target for the SP500 is 812.....lots of falling around inbetween to be expected  though....they are now around 740.........SO...nobody can predict the future ...but we could get to 48 and 49 if they make target......Thing is ..the hard ups and downs makes it very hard to confidently stick with the longs.....Your accademic view of this positioning and medium term point of view on them is welcome.....

Glad to have an accademic interest......Let me clarify my question.....Read Caldaro carefully......Initially he was counting 5 waves up to 737.......the explanation then continues ...with pullback ......then up ...pullback then up ...to 815.......BUT THEN......IN HIND SITE .....the way I understand it .......concludes that the entire move was a zig zag.....SEEMINGLY abandoning the impulsive count to 737.......That is how I understand him.....Snippit counted differently to Caldaro....check wavecount and Jack Lad........How do you see it  ?........AND WHY ?........AM I INTERPRETING HIS EXPLANATION CORRECTLY ? Interesting is .....that even now they are holding around 780.......If back up now ...over 815......B gets more complicated.....which then takes us back to the impulsive count to 737.......Then this might NOT be a simple zig zag.......What do you think ?

Anyway if EW works for you, so be it, we each have are one strategy and needs to respect it. I actually do use EW within trends (5 waves) and know all about Caldaro's wave counts, but one thing you can't ignore is with the ALSI it is simply not that easy, especially in these bear trends! Need to know...not think what she is doing!

 

That is where seasonals and patterns comes in..
