V not posting too busy riding the bear catcher wave.Think 38000 before 50000 on the cards.STFR the name of the game atm, sold my small short from 41450 for 1200 points and went big today at average short from 42250 but gonna keep this until QE ends, only way is down from here short term I am gunning for the R100k trade here halfway there. The problem is when one is right everyone that is wrong wants to proof you wrong, best is go with trend and trend has changed, I learned that the hard way fighting the bull to 44000 and only the started going long with good profitd, must admit my first long at that level was frightning but it paid of. Going short from these levels for a Bull is allso gonna take balls.Eish some bulls got caught bigtime todayIndeed the consternation grows.
Probably due to not observing the trend.
This blog goes quiet then erupts with anti-trend.
Sure there is always something to be had there.
For the erudite and nimble.
But there should always be more chatter in favour of the trend.
Just the same it was for the years of constant bull trend.
This place was a haven for bears.
Can someone explain this anomaly?
If not, let me try - the posters are trying to trip you non posters.
Why would that happen?
Because it can.

Nothing !!!!!
Now you mentioned the D-word. Thats enough to start another avalanche.
Africa will never be regarded as adult until all of its organisations stop admiring and protecting criminal dictators.
MSM et al presents (sponsored) opinion as fact and seeks to indoctrinate. Journalists without ethics proliferate in a swamp of filthy lucre (BBC inclusive).
In response to decades of racism by fearful minority whites called apartheid there will be an eternity of racism by revengeful majority blacks called all kinds of excuses.
Corruption is not yet compulsory but it may as well be - Aggressive africanization uses the racist Employment Equity Act as a club.
Too many humans are too busy copulating to bother about the irresponsible, unsustainable and progressively catastrophic population explosion.

Sorry, i do not have a degree of any kind...
What rhymes??? Outcome of what??
history, never repeats, but does rhyme. it supposes roughly similar outcomes, given similar starting conditions?
question is, how did things go after the event? next few days?

interesting perspective! is that your experience that posters are tricksters?
Some you bet for sure. You wanna tell me about how thats not the case?
i bought my first shares in '84 and by now, have zero intention to trick anyone!
Well done! Do you believe every poster is/has always been in that philanthropic space?
other impression is also that we may have many newish traders onboard? they have the stats stacked against them!! maybe the +5% will talk to me in 10 years time...
For me its more about those non posters. They the ones being far more likely the genuine article.
from the top:
- acquired BS detectors early on. you are probably correct!
- the environment is much different from when i started. you may be even correct!
- i only post what i see (after the event). philanthropy is not really my thing
- if anything i say can help a few of them? we can spar in future! (not shopping)
if you are not one of the impostors, how you prove it??

I can only go back a couple of years of safex and scanning back I couldn't see a 1300p candle
thank you, Ettas!
given the levels where we now compared to even a couple years back, the % move may be more relevant? i find it (based on that metric) to be hardly significant. from a trading pow, that is. +5% moves occur in the final stages and is what perks my interest. i would be very surprised to see any of those in the near term...

If you are looking for when the todays bar engulfs the previous 3 days bars (simular to a three line strike),going back from Oct'96 it has happened 10 times before today.
Check the following dates:
• 02/03/00 • 12/11/01 • 22/01/03 • 27/11/06 • 01/11/07 • 18/08/08 • 04/06/09 • 29/11/10 • 08/07/11 • 27/03/13
so it rhymes after all. and the short term outcome?

IMO
US UK market leading indicator
ZAR is too strong for upward
Past two days and 5 6 Oct seems similar bounce to me.
Sent from my Xperia Z Ultra using Sharenet Sharechat mobile app
If today close is solid red for US, expecting light bounce before it goes further. My previous guess remains that only Fed Friday may have a gamble long. But it can support the bear that the market goes a huge correction. Based on previous Fed min, it feels like Fed is just trying extremely hard to calm the market and put rate hike on hold. I suspect Fed just have no good data recently and put the rate hike on hold just because the market can't take it.

Gold seems to have found support just below that $1200 mark waiting for confirmation from gold stocks which still seem confused

imo, the bear has arrived.
several members made excellent remarks (no names, no packdrill ).
i lost my shirt in the first bear i traded! barely (bearly ?) hung onto it the second time. how will it go this time?
dunno, but here is what i do:
- trade price only
- longs never more than 50% of my normal position size
- take profit on bulk of position on violent moves in my direction (had to do that today)
- very strict on stop loss
- bottom pickers (for no good reason) get stinky fingers, just stick to the system
my own amateur wave count points lower. once that reverses and we at least have a good exhaustion gap in place, i will increase my potential long positions. the bear has a way to shake out shorts in order to pull in buyers. once it turns up, you do not want to sit tight on shorts!
go well...
ps: i do not attend the forum while the market is open and hence please do not expect me to post live trades etc. it is only a measure to protect my own psycho self

not pointing fingers at anyone here, but be careful out there!!!
I find trading like body surfing, catch the right one and you will make it all the way to the beach.
