Ok, I hear you guys, (though to call it blind punt, I think is rather harsh) :( .

1. We had two days of strong run...and as expected (which I said earlier), today is natural for profit taking

2. We all agree the bottom is somewhere near us, which makes these regions the best buying regions (after all the gurus say be greedy when all are fearful)

To add, I've profited a lot from "contrarian trades". EG I started buying on Thursday as she was falling deep. Now I sit with an aggregate +900 points bagged yesterday when I closed.

I only post to add flavour and perspective to the forum, but I also respect all views.

Nicely done!

The bull in me can't hold it any longer...long at 42040 (IG Cash). To add if she goes below 41800.

Africa will never be regarded as adult until all of its organisations stop admiring and protecting criminal dictators.

MSM et al presents (sponsored) opinion as fact and seeks to indoctrinate. Journalists without ethics proliferate in a swamp of filthy lucre (BBC inclusive).

In response to decades of racism by fearful minority whites called apartheid there will be an eternity of racism by revengeful majority blacks called all kinds of excuses.

Corruption is not yet compulsory but it may as well be - Aggressive africanization uses the racist Employment Equity Act as a club.

Too many humans are too busy copulating to bother about the irresponsible, unsustainable and progressively catastrophic population explosion.

Whilst humanity prevails so will evil. Evil will survive and thrive through sophisticated indoctrination and other conscience-suppressing disguises.

Desmond Tutu has been praying for the downfall of the ANC since 2011. Clearly he needs some assistance with such a difficult and worthy task..

Cockroaches still lurk on sharechat because it is prime real estate for their con artistry, duping and grand theft.

The voice of reason!

It's irresponsible to blindly punt a market that is now trading under the January high

there is also another confirmation. this thing will be over as soon as the Vix drops to about 14, until that time there is gravity at work. trying to get a bull run going after a drop like this is not instantaneous and is definitely not going to be just a turn and go. the bottom may already be in but there will still be a couple of retests, in my view this is going to take some time to start running again.

keep an eye on the VIX.

I agree with you on the VIX but depending on which EW we are busy with..if Intermediate V she should not waste any time going back up as they are normally impulsive by nature, I think this bull is still very much alive, this is a healthy drop for new money to flow in!

But will see... ;)

Wise words, A! US needs to get going again for us to make major gains. I'm also weary of another leg lower to flush out the early bulls...

K

Could we go higher from here, yes, is the final low in for this downphase, I doubt, no reversal candle on the US charts just yet!

Thinking of the April 2013 low where mr market sucked in longs for 3-4 days and we saw a final washout the next week!

I'm waiting for a weekly signal (engulfing/reversal candle) to enter into this market..she is dangerous!

You can see on this weekly chart how important it is how we going to close this week, if we get a full green maribuzo candle then it confirms an engulfing turnaround (bullish), if we get a gravestone doji like in April 2013 then we are in for another leg down next week (bearish)!

Patience now cause a great opportunity is around the corner!

UBS says buy with the next daily reversal, SPX could go for 1850 but a trading bottom is near for a run into Nov/Dec!

I see one way from here David...and it's up. Dips are the money for now. We're not revisiting the lows yet. Today may be some profit taking dips, creating good buying opportunities!

im sorry, but i dont see the BTFD story working out well for anyone at this stage. have anyone seen the candle left on the SP and DJ yesterday...not good especially if you believe the 200DMA tells a story

tomorrow, we close that gap!

I'm also rooting for that, but it remains to be seen, US coming of nicely from its earlier highs
