tempted to short just above resistance(R1 daily) on 5min chart(overbought)but with market in general oversold territory bias is towards longs
..think i'll hop on fence and observe for a wee while

couple of things are bothering me about the current drop, there is no momentum at all, the VIx is not moving enough to make me nervous, I would want to see 20 or above to take note, every time it starts to go up it then drops the next day. the PMI numbers for all the major exchanges are not brilliant and tomorrow there are plenty, Germany, EU China. if this thing is going to drop tomorrow would the a good starting point, if nothing happens I don't see any other big drops unless they start shooting protesters in HK.

going to be interesting as china and HK both have a holiday tomorrow, so the number will only really show up on the EU markets. so the PMI will be out at 3 this morning.
I dont know how reliable it is, but I received a tip that China's PMI tonight is going to be a bad figure.
I hate trading with a MM, but I'm short SA40 cash with IG @ 44100
Lets see if it was an onion or not.
IMO tomorrow will be another +-500 pip down day

who (of sound mind) think they have any intention to pay it back? that clock has been running for many years now, may well go a few more...

She is closing in on her daily 200 moving day average, my take is the 44050ish futures level could be the low of this move (is also on the lower weekly bollingerband), big cycle low date next week around the 08th Oct!
In my books this is still part of Intermediate IV of Major 5 of Primary III.

Although we see the SA40 as a big part of your world, the truth is we are a very small part of the world economy. In order for someone to move the market to take out a couple of longs would cost more than the result would be worth.
No matter what we are a resource economy and right now resources suck, we have also had a 50 tonne block of concrete on the gas peddle for some time. This correction is very very overdue.
blaming the MM is fun but actually not very practical. the MM may be able to move the market by a couple of points say 100 or 150 but that is it, if it is more there are plenty of people watching (all of us included) that would see more separation from reality and scream blue murder, this all has a name and it is the free market, the free markets biggest rule is you cant win all the time, if you could we would all have retied long ago and never have to work for the next 500 years.
just a down cycle.
