on investing there is one from 45900 to 46200

Not a "true" gap..like V called it, the "rollover waltz" (Dec contract now in play)

Where is the gap lower down? I thought we had closed all the gaps to 45100.

Don't know what to call it, but with hindsight I did stuff it up this morning. Had a red long over the weekend that would have turned green if I did not close it earlier at a 200 pips loss. Had a long at 45 613 which I closed prematurely in hindsight. Then went short since FTSE and US were red. With all of that I managed to successfully stay in the red...

i would hang onto the short, there is a V Gap that needs closing and I think JSE will loose steam at 4

The first goal is to ensure survival – avoid the risks that can empty your account and put you out of the trading business.  :)

What do you think are the chances of getting to the 45600 level today when the markets open?

Not today IMO...seems we kicked off a new rally now so need to see when she tops out...could run until Wednesday!

But should see some type of retracement back to the gap level maybe tomorrow..wave 2 (return move of the broken downtrend line) before grinding higher...

DB is sure going to take that warrant out with the knock out around the 44900ish level..but seasonally September is actually a bullish month for the ALSI so me thinks that final washout is only coming beginning October!

For now zig zag and playing within the support and resistance levels (bollingerbands) remain order of play!

I think this rally is going to go higher before we go down again into Thursday for futures close-out!

But the daily macd is making higher waves while we are in a down channel making lower lows so changes are very good after the low we are going for new highs into December!

Appreciate your input

If it gets past 45950 i will be getting worried for my short. But would like a revisit of the 45600 and DB has wave's at 45000. I think they will took it out before the fed meeting and shoot up after the meeting.

The JSE has resolved the network issue. Opening auction will run from 11:00-11:30 after which the market will open for trade.
