This has happens even to the best of traders....

"You try a buy, and price quickly goes down. So you try a sell, and price goes back up just as fast. Well, that is two immediate losses and the market has only been open for fifteen minutes. This is not a good thing, and you are starting to feel a little ‘shaky’, so you don’t even trade your next setup, and what happens?

Of course it is a winning trade, but not only that, the size of the win was bigger than the loss from the other trades. But it’s worse than that. After seeing the size of the trade you are missing you go ahead and chase the breakout – right at the time it reverses and goes the other way, so now that great winner is nothing more than a third loss to you.

Ok, one more try, but this time you are going to say the heck with your trading method. Instead of trading with the swing’s direction, you are going to wait until the swing goes to a price extreme and fade that direction.

Here it comes, that trade that you chased and reversed on you, has gone back up to the highs – oh yeah, you didn’t do your buy setup that got it there. No matter, this next trade is going to work. So, you sell the high and what happens, there is a small retrace and price breaks out to a higher high – in fact, that retrace was small enough that if you had done that buy you should have done, you never would have had to exit it.

So the score is method has 2 small losses with 2 far bigger wins, but you have 4 losses and no wins. That is the reality, but what do you think…that you are a worthless loser, and the market sucks and the method sucks worse, as you heave your computer monitor against the wall.

Oops, that will cost you more to replace than those two small method losers, but at least you won’t to trade any more – you are out of control, you are in a trading psychology spiral."

Al least it is happening much less frequent now-a-days...and never the monitor against the wall....haha!

Is this the pattern at last playing out?? Still busy with Intermediate IV and now the C leg down...normally the most impulsive of the 3 and nasty.

 

Target just under 45 000 for friday...IMO!

My stop was hit at 46200 for my longs!

With this little top formation we can easily see 45000 come friday for the final washout...US also breaking down and might be aiming for that S&P 1953 50% fib level!

VIX is setting herself up for more jumping so short it is!
