The real opponent of a trader is himself. Not the markets, not other traders down the street, not some commercial house – my opponent in the market is Peter Brandt. Am I doing what I know I need to do to put myself in a position where I know I can either be down six percent or up a hundred. - Peter Brandt

Jaaa man!! Well said ;)

The first goal is to ensure survival – avoid the risks that can empty your account and put you out of the trading business.  :)

Thanks L

A nice long opportunity setting itself up (positive divergence on 60min chart) for next week into that NFP figure date..even if we see a tiny new low! B)

Something interesting...use it or don't!

To understand when weakness can morph into something more the answer lies in the macd...you can clearly see on the graph why March gave us a nice downleg to short, strong negative divergence on the macd!

Now currently we have a flat macd with no serious negative divergence so reason why I expect a nice rally to new highs next week, but that should then create that magic negative divergence and take us down for a good whip into the 13th..!

Let's see how it goes!

Seems 44 675 (cash) has turned into some resistance. Need break through, otherwise my premature longs will endure more pain.

Another thing the demo account don't expose u too, is MARGIN CALL, when trade goes against u. And your account balance needs a funds top up, else they close out your trades, and account gets CLEANED.

When I started trading, the whole Greece thing was in play. I was in up to my eyeballs, and in the money, then the fun started, the ECB made some or other statement and the market went down, the market always takes the lift down and the the stairs up. well this lift was in free fall, within 20 minutes I had less than 300 buck in the account. I learned plenty from that day, now I only trade 1/3 of my cash, the rest is for downward cover.

IG offer the 2 rand option, you will not get rich but you will be able to learn, I found a big differerance between DEMO money and REAL money, you head gets in the way when you use real money.

1D (and 1W) is telling me ALSI has turned, en-route to 436## (J200) at least.

Kudo's to you Argento, on calling the breakdown to yesterday's low today (well on its way atm).

Thanks L

Tea cup pattern forming up on 10 minute. Offloaded 1 short for small, almost break-even, profit. Holding the rest.

Note to self: Before closing a position always remember Mhlato's Rule:- The market always proves you wrong, just before it proves you right.

the R2micro's are great on IG..don't underestimate them, you can make(or lose) thousands trading daily on 200-300p channels.  for me, benefit to micro is it allows large drawdown on entry allowing me to easily ave down on a south bound trade.

used to trade R10mini's on intra and stress was through the roof..great when working but devastating when not, even on large account sizes---caution

good luck buddingtrader
