thanks Polly...past 30 days increased trading account by 26% trading aggressively on low returns. not to sure how long one can burn at this rate though...long hours/high stress will ultimately be my nemesis.
perhaps i should consider a mechanical system in future.

stopped out 44189(60p)
at a 30 point spread when you bought. you rather sit on your hands.
Your risk return ratio not up too par.
Trading is one of the only fields where genuine con artists/scammers will urge you to “be careful of con artists/scammers.”

Looks like we might have a rising wedge on the dailies in the making....
Everyone trading the index should already know that it is rapidly approaching the end point of a classic Diagonal Triangle and that it is not a lone thing in the global arena. For those unaware - take very careful note and get up to speed right now...because what is coming here is totally inevitable and totally unavoidable...
A Diagonal Triangle is one of thirteen Elliott Wave Patterns. It is a five-wave overlapping structure, wherein each wave subdivides into three smaller waves. It is typically an ending or terminating wave pattern and is found in the fifth wave position on an impulse wave (and the wave C position of A-B-C formations).
They bring dramatic reversals in price, typically to the origin of the pattern and then some, usually in 1/3 to 1/2 the time it takes the pattern to form.
The final 5th wave has split to create a classic extension of smaller waves into the apex. The last move can be an overthrow or underthrow which goes out of the bounds or the convergence. Overthrow is more common in major cycle endings.
We are priveligied to be given this event to add to our experiences, just don't get wiped by it.

Made around 85 pts today on 1 short trade taken out after that shooting star happened at 8h20 on the 10 min chart this morning.
Just taken out a long with a 100% counter short position @44 086 & 44 120 respectively. It doesn't matter which way Alsi40 goes, I have put and call sell limit orders in for 200 points either side.
No different to gambling I guess, but an interesting experiment.
The 3 things I know for sure is ALSI 40 does 3 things: up, down, and sideways and based on the the last month or so of data does all 3 regularly. So the plan is to take profits if they occur at the 200 pt levels or sooner if hammers, gravestone dojis and shooting stars occur, always watching for strong support resistance / support levels ie closing levels at previous day's 17h00 (JSE) and 17h30 (IG repricing) levels.
The important thing for me is to keep those trades small enough to sustain a swing of at least 500 pts either side while that ALSI40 does its stuff to me and catch things on both ends.
Lets see how it goes.
And oh Ja, also NO stop losses. Only limit sell/buy orders. Tired of those after hours guys depleting my account.

It looks like the professionals haven't decided on the best way to rig this market this afternoon; they are not buying 44211 and they aren't selling 44375 either. Any trade I take - besides those two - would be just gambling.
That means I should leave my orders active, log off and go downstairs for coffee.

I know, brother. I have a system that's supposed to take the thinking out of trading but sometimes I end up messing with it and getting my brain involved in this thing.
I'm not supposed to think! I'm not supposed to think! GRRRRRR!

Buy order waiting: 6 long @44211. They have to come back; after hitting 44375 that is.

This morning I jumped out too early because I didn't feel comfortable. Now I'm also thinking of jumping off a bit too early again! Not a good trading day at all.
Moved my profit target to 44350
also had a terrible day(trading) very frustrating..one mistake after another but mark these words "vengeance will be mine" 
still running short but only recovered partial loss from this AM
