yes exactly. but the risks are very much clear now so if they structure properly they may be successful in taking some share.
anyway, just speculation...no idea why price has been on the way up

Rich list advertised in Sunday Times last weekend, Christo Weise seen to be king of the castle! article states that he owns 34 % of Brait.
Readers thought, hey! If it works for him, we are in!.
Plus PE is 9, low in this market, plus has rand hedge qualities, I had a feeling would run. Long may it continue!!

That's my opinion for what it's worth, back at 55 today, boo hoo.

There were rumours that pep was looking at financial services of some sort. Haven't seen confirmation but happy to be aboard the bus

Trading range narrowing lately &  with decent volumes.

Looking at the chart pretty impressive last 3wks upward march.

Expecting the last wave to come on strong above R50

Should bring in the funny money.

Then long term holders will laugh loudest me thinks.

Don't worry though, Brait still has legs though I expect we'll see some consolidation around the 50 level and am not expecting any fireworks...but hey, I hope I'm wrong!

I've moved my CFD S/L to lock in some profit. The BAT shares now up 25% in my LT portfolio.

Low volume so far. Hinting at holders are happy to hold.

Would be nice to see some consolidation around these levels.

Alas one day is only one day.

That was pretty much my impression. I hold in my LT and also took a punt with some CFDs (learning exercise, small position, S/L not reached). Guess I'll be holding the CFDs a bit longer

Underwhelming set of results now I've had a closer look..

Still pretty solid though.

Looks like 10% decrease in profit YoY
