Few of my thoughts:

1.  DSY broke 89.50 - watch for a retest and break down further to 85.

2.  CFR trading in a ascending wedge-like structure.  Might still have some legs to move towards R113 - R114 (ZAR weakness helping as well).

3. Look out for a retest of broken resistance (which should now become support) on the ascending triangle on SOL around R600 - R605 area. Projections take it up R635+

4. BAW continues to bumble along support in the R100 - R101/102 range.  Going ex-div this coming Monday though, but there should still be upside left in this counter.

5. NED looks like it might still be in wave C down of a corrective A-B-C structure with support at R226 broken now and possible downside to around R215.

6. Although a weak counter, AIP was sold off heavily in the last few sessions.  Today's candle might mark a reversal if decent volume can come through around R54.  Might set up a quick bounce higher.

Anybody looking at RMI for a Short.....?  Looking at weekly chart - all oscillators at the top, whilst daily chart showing negative divergence (with price going higher and indicators going down).  On the daily, the strong uptrend over the past 3 months (when the share price has gone up 18%), seems like it was broken which big resistance at R32 and the share price closing at R31.59.

Going short with 3000, if there is an opening spike upside this morning, with a short term target price of R30-00 (which is close to the 50day MA).

Working out nicely today :)

Anyone sitting on TKG positions? Thinking of going long pre-results

went long, they are expecting between a R7-12 BEPS and around a R7 HEPS as per the latest trading statement. This puts them at a PE of about 7.

Results out next friday

AJ..you think those targets set on APN are realistic medium term?

Yeah definitely. Can't post chart now - but I am surprised that APN hasn't gunned for R300 by now. So yes, deep R290s for a first test of R300 for sure!

Weekly chart looks decent. Looks like a 4th wave within a symmetrical triangle currently completing, with wave 5 next to commence upwards and this should also be the one breaking out. (Just my humble opinion/take on it though).

So I have learned some very hard lessons and continue to learn them still. Hopefully I will overcome the challenges.
Here is a question: share prices go up and down and one has the ability to hedge oneself by buying and selling the same share at the same time. In times of uncertain, can hedging be used as a strategy so as to gain if the share moves in any direction and sell when you believe it might have reached the bottom or the top. Meaning that if it has indeed reached this level, your loosing direction will then start gaining when it recovers?

Well, if you are shorting a big breakout and you go long as well, chances are that you might wait a very long time before (if at all) the price drops back below the breakout level to close your short... So if there is a strong trend, just stick to the direction/position of the trend rather.
