glad that order on SHP didn't fill yesterday at 167.50..170.00+ looking very probable
Now that SHP has cleared the 164 level it is picking up momentum...I can see it go to 172-174 where it should rest!

Delta, me feel same on NPN. Suppose half a loaf much better than nothing yeah....
Same, my finger was on the trigger for a long at 1040...but my balls were too small!

Closed WHL short from 74 @ 69.90...and thanks.
That was quick money.
BTW, this was blind luck...read the news this morning and was expecting a quick spike to 76...I was ready to add on the short!
Anyway, I have a strict rule that says if I score more than 5% on the day I take it and walk away.

Dedicated EM investors will have a problem...all of a suddden more than 40% of Woolies revenue coming from DM...may cause mandate issues for EM investors.

Zero Hedge, do you see Woolies sky rocketing?
Nope...foreign investors won't like...my call is share will be under pressure today...let's see.

I think the 27% rally in woollies the past couple of weeks could be on this deal.... Interesting to see reaction ... Should spike at open but by close of today??
Rest assured we are the last to get the news... Insiders had the party already
I would guess a short term slump. Remember this is a massive capital outlay.
I'm betting on them long term to make this deal work though

All the SA retailers and banks were on fire since early Feb...so I don't agree...me thinks foreign investors won't like the deal and share will be under pressure today.

Price action in Woolies should be interesting today following the announcement of the David Jones acquisition in Australia for A$2bn. I see they will fund part of purchase price by issuing new equity. David Jones is up 25% whilts Myer who was in take-over talks with David Jones is also more than 5% up as shareholders are relieved that Myer will walk away...interesting...very interesting...Woolies taking a big bet on Australian economy and consumer here!!
