If we dont get any Syria stikes or problems in the future then MTN will finish above 200 year end. Plus we have deal maker Nhlekho back as Chairman. With a war chest of about $8bn, it is expected to continue prowling for acquisitions to expand into Southeast Asia, such as into Indonesia, since the African market is close to saturation. They could buyout Orange, Millicom or Orascom in the future.MTN is a gaint and you have to buy it on any dips.

Thanks for that.

I knew I should have listened to my gut!! FSR runs hard every day from 15:30 when US opens. Opens down a bit, then sets a high, trades in the middle of the range, then in the afternoon it runs hard!

This markets is bullish very bullish, you can throw wars, fed, or even SA strikes but it knocks them over. Its just a bullet train.

This is the type of market that can make a bear grow horns and become a bull.

Between Naspers and Aspen I think Kumba's the one to watch!

(Sorry, this post should actually be under the Long Term Investment topic.)

Would any of you experts care to advise on NPK and what is expected to go on the short run?

I got a few thousand CFDs after it has been moving sideways for a while - would be good to know if i am mistaking or if there is hope

Nampak is one of those shares which is an underdog. It's a meduim term trade.

Do you trade one stock at a time

No, I've been quite busy as of lately and didn't really have time to proper research and look at my TA for something else.  Generally don't like to run more than 3 at a time, but when opportunity knocks, you have to be ready  :)

Closed now.

Honored my TP... In at 30.20 and out at 32.95 (5c short but that is fine!)  :)

Now to do some work for the next trade!

If the past few days are anything to go buy I am hoping for a run this afternoon, otherwise I will close.  Want to close today though.

Hi guys
Just one for the TA people amongst you.
MTN has been moving up nicely over the past few days and I'm inquiring into both short and longer term targets.
I'd be grateful for any assistance.
Thanks

If we dont get any Syria stikes or problems in the future then MTN will finish above 200 year end. Plus we have deal maker Nhlekho back as Chairman. With a war chest of about $8bn, it is expected to continue prowling for acquisitions to expand into Southeast Asia, such as into Indonesia, since the African market is close to saturation. MTN is a gaint and you have to buy it on any dips.

What's your take on GFI?
I know there has been controversy over the BEE deal and maybe that has caused the slide.
But it has dropped below 50 and approaching its lowest point in years.
What domyounthink bottom is?

Goldfields is also affected by the gold price, gold droping to 1340 as i type

Rather buy DRD Gold or wait for Sibanye to pull back. Sibanye is gowing higher even when the gold price is going lower. That show you the demand on the stock. Its also very cheap (PE 3) plus you are also buying some uranuim from Cook operations.

I'm hanging in there. Opened at 218. up 20%.

momentum is still strong and won't sell until it runs out of legs

Really well done. You might make it to 270 :)

Obama holds fire on Syria, waits on Russia's plan...http://online.wsj.co...2690675662.html

This has to boast well for MTN at the moment. Might see the run-up continue for now...

Do not try and bend the market. That's impossible. Instead... only try to realize the truth. Then you'll see, that it is not the market that bends, it is only yourself.
