veterans, if you sell shares after LDT for divi and before the payout date, do you still get divi?
You must hold the share at the close of trade on the LTD to be eligible for the dividend. So you cannot get the divi if you buy it after LDT (when it goes ex-divi)

if i understand correctly you long on EOH...out of interest what is your target BBW?
Yes, seems a solid stock with not too much volatility. My first target is always a previous high, i.e. 5650, but in it for the long term, so will decide again then (if I'm going to attach a target). Usually keeping an eye on the tempo of growth thereafter.

Yes, I've experienced the value in that, but does get a bit "greedy" (if you can call it that) and unsure and end up buying all the stocks that I think are good; maybe trying to spread the risk a bit, as I have a more long term view.
Going to concentrate on the ALSI40 now and 2 or 3 shorts, with CML and EOH my only LT longs for the moment (although I do try and short CML every now and then, as I believe it has a low target to reach still; but also keeping my longs)

Another Tip :
when trading Cfds trade a few with max 3 shares only.. Do not greedy and try to buy the whole market!!

Another Tip :

Thanks. I'm so gatvol now. Closed ALL my longterm positions this morning with trailing stops, and half of my CML. Now hanging on to my Alsi40 shorts (without stops and adding). Just can't get my timing right with the LT CFD buying as I lost all (well almost) my profit for the year with the bargain hunting last week and yesterday's drop, and that after I woke up one morning, 2 weeks ago, just KNOWING I should be short! Should have listened to my mind "working overnight".

Thanks. I'm so gatvol now. Closed ALL my longterm positions this morning with trailing stops, and half of my CML. Now hanging on to my Alsi40 shorts (without stops and adding). Just can't get my timing right with the LT CFD buying as I lost all (well almost) my profit for the year with the bargain hunting last week and yesterday's drop, and that after I woke up one morning, 2 weeks ago, just KNOWING I should be short! Should have listened to my mind "working overnight". Still in 2 minds whether I should long PSG (LT), but guess I already missed the bus. Now I just hope that my firm belief that this market will still drop further, pans out.

has anyone seen a 5 year chart of agl?
jeez looks a bit scary. one mean head and shoulders ,and if it pans out a long term target of R130 co-inciding with its 2009 low of R130!!
