Considering a long on WHL, but price seems to be hardly moving...

Anyone else got a long on WHL?

Yep, I'm in at R85, looking to add sub 80.

Been eyeing WHL too. I think we might see some more weakness in the price, given the pressure the consumer is under (electricity increases, fuel levy, rand weakness, etc). Might nibble at the R78 to R81 levels.

nice entry price walter with contingency to add if necessary..don't think you'll sweat at all on this trade, excellent risk2reward

Nice buy.........I bought some more yesterday.

I am surprised, with oil hugely up, that MTN down.........but now at a PE of 13 I see excellent value at current values......!!!  If I had some more spare cash, I would be adding at these levels.......

Thanks Soutie. There is some historical (and psychological) support at R200 .

Was long from 386, adjusted stop to 392 as it touched 400 and it closed out on the way down.  Glad it worked this time.  On the other hand APN will probably go plus 400 not too long from now if it doesnt visit 350 first!  Its gut renching when it does go wrong :( . Long from 370 with another tranche at 364 if it comes down again - third order sub 360, alternatively add as it rises toward 400.

Lucky for your first winning. I am hoping it will get to around 413 or so and will then cash out. But i bought high (378)... so i need it to work out. :-)

MDC, NTC & LHC all seem to be following identical patterns recently.

any reason for this?

thks Gspot...its certainly been trading within set range(41-45) for some time(great channel trade).  yesterdays sell down was imo oversold on the day(-4.8% with no news(SENS) i'm aware of) have added a little more to current pos, will be watching today's price action closely.

glad you agree......bought in a small position in auction yesterday!

Also bought MTN at R206.80 yesterday......

Next on my target: RMI (if I can get it around R43.50 level)....and DSY (under R120).

LHC is looking a bit weak, although I am tempted to enter a small portion long today still (after almost being 4% down).......Cant see any SENS news.

Was trading in a nice range of R44 to R41.22............exactly where the price is right now!  MACD not looking good and share price below 200day MA, although stochastic is oversold......hence my resistance to entering a large quantity long today.

On weekly chart, strong uptrend dating back to 2012 intact, but see support level around R39.19 - that is my BEST case of getting in!!!

Just like this sector....NTC and MDC all done well (and will continue).

yup......was in at mid 380's and also holding.  APN down from end Jan high of 448, even with SGK sell off was a good pullback.  Was originally looking at 430-ish for profit but will adjust as market conditions change, 'probably' offload 1/2 at 400+ when we reach that point.

Sentiment on CML has gone pear shaped!  It now looks like a good short at anything over 105, not too long ago the CEO was talking down the share and it was one of the best performing on the JSE, shorting it was risky business.  Guess having all its apples in the local market at local growth projections is causing this cooling off phase.  Any insights if CML can reverse latest trend anytime soon?

So how many people are losing on APN? Looking at the history of this thread over the last wwek or 2... Seems there are a few long positions on APN from around R400.
