Hi all,

 

If this question is not appropriate for this thread just let me know.

 

Taking into account the interest that is paid on long CFD positions, do you have a general rule of thumb as to how long you would hold a CFD position. Of course the longer you hold it, the better it would have to perform to overcome the interest you have paid over the life of the trade.

 

For example would you generally keep CFD trades in the region of days-weeks. Would holding a position for 4 months be uncommon.

 

Many thanks for any thoughts on the subject.

yeah sure ..feeling a little burnt out from trading multiple counters so aggressively over the last few months - its been profitable but extremely time consuming, with alsi my time is focused on a single dynamic which will be refreshing.

CML = proxy for our mkt..if theres bounce on alsi 2morrow it could translate into a fast in/out CML trade

 

just one of the stocks that has flagged on my radar but trading to many(or to scared..lol) counters to act on it.

Hey bud - cml no longer a proxy to our market like it seemed to be in the past - more overseas investment there - has diverged further recently, but I agree we should see it rise anyhow
