Holdings currently in Easy Equities:

Capitec

Dischem

Discovery Preference shares (very nice yield after tax)

Distell

Grindrod Preference shares (also not too bad yield after tax)

Mix Telematics

MTN

Shoprite

Woolworths

Obviously not for trading, just a bit sad I didn't get in earlier in April!

Anyone else looking at some preference shares currently?

Morning I'm around....

If I had a choice I would take GFI...Only reason once the market fully understands their non exposure to SA gold they will also re-rate as per ANG did but it was over a period not sure but wasn't quick...So for me GFI will do same & plus there's lots of profit can be taken on ANG not so much GFI.

I'm in HAR & have been reducing my holdings on every bounce & converting to CFD's....Can't beat a good Trump tweet to give a bounce for bullion...

Cheers.

Hi Bread...who knows hey...everything so unpredictable at moment...all I know is world pretty unstable so chances are ok for gold....I watch what punters say on investing.com on gold...but most them full sh#t....https://m.investing....jitters-1986957

Thanks for the link, Midas1. Ja, I'll be on holiday next week, the local guys are buying banks and retailers, the rand and gold don't look like they're going anywhere and the seasonal correction is looming. But for me ANG is showing a strong buy so I don't know. Maybe soutie knows.

Ja my idea sell and chances can buy back 20 percent cheaper later....still cfds though imp and drd at moment and have say I've done much better on cfds than equities......soooo far....but think cfd style suits me better as feel nothing cut loosing trade then go back another day

Totally cleaned out equity accounts few days ago as would rather keep a few and buy some pounds and maybe buy back later...so did loose bit but can make it back later rather than watch shares go lower and lower so left with jubilee, impala shoprite and mondi..I'll buy npn when time right and that's it..will sell shp when profitable...would lost lot more in last 2 days if didn't take action..

Jerre boet not a bad call at all.

Been averaging in for the last three weeks on a lot of my portfolio. Doesn’t look like the end of this downward spiral is in sight.
