The main bond holders (Investec, Nedbank and Momentum) hold a lot of the fixed income in their money market funds significantly more than the market cap. When it gets cheap enough I reckon they will step in on the equity side to ensure that no hair cuts are taken on the bonds.
Heh Heh! When you talk about hair cuts I couldn't help thinking of the trading term "scalp" which now has new meaning for ABIL investors.

Yikes! That really puts things into perspective. Its an absolute stuff up. Took a small punt on them yesterday and didn't sell by cob. Now holding that razor sharp knife!! Wonder when the okes at Coronation are going to make a statement....should be interesting.

Abil market cap now less than Finbond. If the Abil share drops any further, who knows little old Finbond could even become a predator...

Good luck.
This company is insolvent and will probably go into business rescue in the next few months.
Dominant, this is one loss I won't lose sleep over, even if it gets to zero, its just a small gamble...
Posted 07 August 2014 - 12:32 PM
to me this whole abil fiasco is unfair!! This share should have been suspended yesterday on a drop of 10%....let things cool off and get proper rescue guys in to see if this thing can be salvaged!! Current management is total incompetent...2 right offers and still no light at the end of tunnel!! Come on JSE...where is your regulations...enforce them....
This share is a gamble between going bust and surviving with additional funding!!!

question is if they stop trading due to going insolvent or price goes to zero....is your short worth anything??
Got to remember your'e betting against the MM not the market. Only time UN-regulation works in your favour.
Anyone need a heads up...!

Who has balls to go long R1.00?
Posted 07 August 2014 - 12:24 PM
Seems to be a bit of resistance around 100c
I may just buy it @ 95c and sell it @ 120-130
Posted 07 August 2014 - 12:23 PM
ellerines is worth 0 ...so if they sell it, they get nothing...Someone will be doing them a favour taking it away...exactly like ok bazaars...Checkers paid R1.00 for that!!
