Great trading update.

Great call Bullhunter. It is surprising that the share price hasn't reacted more positively.

Anyone still looking at Ellies at this point? I listened to Anthony Clarks'  presentation and Ellies was mentioned - worth a gamble?

I'm accumulating at current levels based on my fair value for Ellies of 57 cents derived from the improved HEPS announced in Dec '17, insider buying and the turnaround strategy is working. What is pleasing is that the turnaround has been driven not only by the reduction of costs as expected but also top line growth.

The satellite market remains robust and exceeded management's internal forecasted numbers. The corporate division is starting to show traction, and is very much expected to be the catalyst for growth going forward.

In the corporate lighting division a number of blue chip clients (Growthpoint, EOH, Investec and Glencore amongst others) have signed up where Ellies product offering is considered technically advanced and innovative. Ellies expect to make significant strides in this area.

I'm so glad that the megatron deal is settled - I know .. i know .. there is now even more debt but at least this is a possible turning point for ellies. It might be a while for recovery .

Shareholders are advised that Ellies expects that its loss per share (“LPS”) for the six months ended
31 October 2016 will be between 30 and 35 cents per share

Standard Bank letting Ellies know it want's it's money back. Shareholders gonna foot the bill if you take up your rights.

I wouldn't touch this one for love nor money for a good couple years yet. That's if it's still around...?

Darling to dog.....

Maybe some of the more enlightened can share some of their knowledge on what "Blue Strata" obligations will be.

I think it's 18mths away from business rescue..Set top box/Eskom roll out included

Do not try and bend the market. That's impossible. Instead... only try to realize the truth. Then you'll see, that it is not the market that bends, it is only yourself.

Whats the feeling towards ELI going forward...?

I see they won part of the DTT tender although still not sure how much piece they got, and that might still be delayed by the ETV court action.

But apart from that, Eskom is re opening their energy saving initiative from July to distribute energy saving bulbs which might benefit them again going forward?

Whats the thoughts on this one guys?

I got out in September 2013 at R7.00

Got back in again in January this year at R1.14. Bit of a gamble but power crisis made me get back in. Should be upside with their generators

Anyone know why the share price is up today?

Gone up 7.69% this morning

Director dealings in latest SENS. They bought quite a large number of shares through the rights issue.
