What if the TT liquidation is only a ploy for them to manipulate a share price to purchase more shares for when the settlement is approved world wide. They should know that if they liquiidate SNH their pay out would be worth a lot less?

So Takkie Town's Previous, as a so called "Contractual Claimant" is complaining about getting a fraction of his claim which is 3 to 8 to 15 times per share as much as the so called "Market Purchase Claimants", so what must we the MPC say about our fraction of a fraction compensation, which is so tiny, one can actually just as well live with a full loss (at least with some dignity of refusing their tiny fraction of fraction compensation) ...... So for MPC claimants:... Refuse this unfair and biased tiny for you compensation offer and let this ship of nonstop false statements, lies, unfairness and fraud sink

Why would they only come out with this now and not a year ago when things were a lot darker.
We know through the various tools like rights issue , IPO’s etc steinhoff can pay off half their debt then refinance the rest.
Always something with steinies eish

They literally have no other options and the current settlement gives them far less than what they sold Tekkie Town for.
I'm fairly certain that the judge will assess the impact of the settlement and how this will make Steinhoff a viable entity. If they did this a year ago when the settlement had not announced as yet, they might have had a shot but it is almost complete.

They got R3.3 bil for a busines with R0.28 Bil thats a whoping 11 times multiple which normally should be maximum 5. That alone should have set alarm bells in the Takkie Town old boys club.

I agree they got paid a very fat primium for a business with only R280 mil profit per year. At that time there was no complains. I could be wrong but very much doubt market will pay much attention to this news
