If we don’t break 139 we stay in range.
Very interesting that Snh hasn’t dropped as much as everyone else. The US suspended trade for 15 minutes on Monday as the S&P 500 fell by 7% pre-trade.

My opinion it's not looking bad.... From 80c up to R2 now seems to be finding base at R1.40.....so not looking bad in that it did not fall under the R1 again....

All in due time Larry.

If we break 150 I’m guessing 174 is the target.
I am hopeless but let’s see.

(This is REALLY not trading advice)

Hi yah I know you think I am crazy... But why can steinhof not delist sort out crap and relist....

We going to see a number of pulverized shared do similar... Trading completely undervalued with current pe multiples.. Makes sense dmto delist, sort out agreements and relist...

Majority of steinhof shareholders are individuals with lower institutional holders... Would you not sell out at R3. 50......WHICH IS R12 b OR 800m usd...

I see it happening...... And there are three other shares on the jse...

The way the other other shares are dropping will make Steinhoff shares look good if it continues for next day or two. It feels to me like all the shares have lost about the same value as Steinhoff except no apparent accounting irregularities that we know of.

Wonder if all the shareholder of all the companies who lost more than 70/80% value over last month or so are going to sue the relevant companies as well???

Volumes are quite high. Interesting trading range, looks like 140 is the base. If it breaks it could go down to 130 quickly? If there’s no news coming out it could be slow poison time...

Nothing major to mention. They will release notes in tranches. Interest will be around SA prime rate. Being at around 9 %. However inflation is around 5%. So actual interest will be at around 4% excluding currency fluctuations and before tax.

Can't they get loans from Europe where the interest rate is lower? Why do they need to get loans in SA?

I think the market will take up notes due to the credit rating received lately.

Overall good approach to get some cash. Total close to 500 Million €. Will help the overall group.

With all the steps taken so far by Steinhoff I do not see any dilution in our holdings. Also Steinhoff is sitting on Huge cash reserves at the moment. They are getting ready for end of 2021 to refinance.

Whats the cash reserves approximate quantum by your take

If you buy the index, don't you automatically end up buying the shares weighted?

Would they ever move to delist steinhof with an intention to realist following a settlement agreement and revaluation.

Sent from my SM-G950F using Sharenet Sharechat mobile app

We discussed this many times. For me its no point delisting only way forward is to claim from the various parties and pay the shareholders that lost money.

Indexes doesn't buy shares... Indexes are there to measure a subset of stock markets.  It could be used to set some benchmarks for some fund managers, depending on that specific fund rules.

Most of these fund managers do their own projections to see what stocks might be included/excluded from a specific index way before it actually happens.

In the Steinhoff/SDax case, the official re-entry for SNH into SDax is 23rd March 2020.  For SNH to be added is good, but like I said before, I think a lot of the benefits was already calculated into the price even before the official announcement...

Yes I agree the rise we saw was already investor positioning themselves.
