Sales will definitely be down from last yr as global economy was a mess especially SA.

For me I'd like to see how much of financial mess these ouks r in

These last minute extensions they announce I see it as absolutlry no favour to them.... They need to start giving the markets some info.... Any info... And not sugarcoat with profits they making

What I know that it's been a year that they are not able to service their debt, as they said that they were "technically defaulting" (I don't know why they added the word "technically").

The debtors are worried about their money, and they didn't opt to put Steinhoff under liquidation (fire sale), which means maybe they think that this might not bring them back their money, and so they opted to give Steinhoff 3 years to maybe sell assets at a good price, so they can get their money back, and also 3 years will be in time before any court case come to any conclusion in any court, as I don't think this can happen in courts on such kind of messy cases before 5 to 20 years, and the creditors will keep pressurising Steinhoff not to settle and to keep asking the courts for delays.

For Steinhoff to sell the non-performing assets at a good price will be difficult, as no one will buy them, and to keep them is difficult as they cannot service the debt, and to sell well performing assets is also a problem, as Steinhoff will then sit with no well performing assets (it's a 22 catch).

I don't think the creditors are worried about the share holders best interest, and the creditors main goal is to take over Steinhoff decision making.

Poundland has made more sale, but has it made more profit? as they doing massive discounts, which might give more sales, but less profit margin.

Pepkor SA hasn't performed as good as last year.

Half of Mattress Firm is in a confusing situation.

Steinhoff is probably to post losses for this year, given their huge expenses (including PwC, lawyers, fat salaries to management, and much more), we don't know about the future years if they will improve profit and cut off on sales or not (it's any ones guess).

The institutional (instructional) investors are under orders not to buy in Steinhoff, and this order is not changing soon or easily.

Sorry: I mean: "cut off on cost"

We don't know if the share price will improve, or will plunge to lower and lower, and by how much and when and for how long.

(Any one that knows, or can help answer these questions ?).
