And if a SENS about debt restructuring comes out, you'd miss the jump & would be on this forum each day talking the share down. To each their own.
For me today's move is purely macroeconomics - Europe is down heavily. And it's not like this share is insulated from whatever happens elsewhere. For Steinhoff though: step 2 done, onwards to making the debt sustainable.
I would be looking forward the SENS (it will make very interesting reading ) and would like to see how the Eur 11 bil debt will be restructured with Eur 7,8 bil of assets, increasing interest rates (there is talk of 5 rate hikes) and very poor future cash flows!!!
I am not talking the share down I am simple putting some thoughts for people to think about their investments!!!
For me makes absolutely no difference what people think of my comments and I am very sure I have no influence on the share price.
Why don't you put some ideas how you see the restructure? Maybe you have better options and we all can learn something?

Don't fall in love with the share do your own evaluations and ask yourself from where is the value of R5 coming from!!!
I am not giving any advise just something for people to think about if you sell at R5 and then drops to R2.5 you then can buy twice the amount of share you sold at R5!!!!

Stock exchange since 1900 has resisted 1929 crack, two world wars, x financial crisis and z energy crisis and pandemic and what not. It has always proven resilience despite volatility. It is interesting to see what 1$ invested on the Nasdaq equivalent at the earliest stage of the 20th century is generating now.
I don’t agree on the melting statement other than being very very temporary
There is a very tiny book from W.Buffet to read on the matter, 45’ reading and quite insightful
Be careful not to be selective at W. Buffet insights!! One of his main ones he only buys into companies with value!!!

The naive pocket-money punters in Germany who believed that the share price will rise by a few 100% on the day of the GS approval are leaving ship...

interesting how it launched 8 percent but now back to under where it launched from - best trading stock on the market currently.
Like I said the best ATM I have found. (But off course no market manipulation just algorithms!!! Haha)
Now that all the excitement is over about the GS people starting to focus on the Eur 11 bil debt and falling share price of Pepco. ( In fact Pepco IPO proving to be a failure and I agree they should have listed in the UK)
I also not convinced MF is going to be a big winner under the current situation with increasing interest rates and a big debt caused by shareholders borrowing money to pay dividends!!!
So my target price still stands!!

And dont forget the noise of war between Ukraine and Russia which is next door to Poland!
Posted 24 January 2022 - 12:08 PM
i wonder if this is why the price is tanking.....investors realise it is time to start diluting the company with payouts...

As disclosed in Steinhoff’s announcement of 15 December 2021, formal withdrawal of the various litigation that has been settled, including the withdrawal of the Liquidation Application against SIHNV will occur immediately following Settlement Effective Date (is expected to occur on or about 15 February 2022). Occurrence of Settlement Effective Date is the remaining condition under SIHNV’s Composition Plan.
