Well done Lionel!

I will take my 4k loss with SNH....
Only good news is I have GBP sitting in the UK & made a 100K ZAR profit after the technical recession....
I guess all is not bad in the bigger scheme of things...

I am a newbie and still learning...
I discovered that I don't have the balls lol to trade...I have to many distractions throughout the day & its challenging to keep an eye on the share price....pump/dump...

I will stick to investing in equities including SNH haha....I am going to PUMP 7 IGNORE......too stressful hehe...

Congrats to all of you that have COINED it :) Wish I didn't jump ship 2 days ago lol

LOL not quite Jet... At one point I wanted to dump at a loss... I bought at 1.90, then 2.80, then 3.20...saw it go to 3.80 and didn't sell and it went all they way back to 1.80...even lower than my initial buy and I was like WTF! I took serious strain and even more from the wife haha. I also put it way too much money and that was the biggest stress... I'd know better for next time

But I said my gamble was on the market not much snh... Market almost fckd me up lol.... I felt the pain and I know exactly what it feels like.... I sure hope this share improves!!!!

Need to be a bit careful Larry.... As it stands snh is giving us a bucket of sand and selling it to us as ice cream.... We don't know the extent of their mess and it's so crucial to know that info... Snh is a giant of a business and if they do things right they can turn it around.... But I also know the bigger u are, the harder u fall.... And they are falling... Anywayz not to sound negative..... I will try my luck again but sjoe I learnt a lot in this past mnth..... Good luck!

Thanks my China!
We’ve all been schooled the last few months.

I agree with you that we need to be careful. My opinion is to look at facts, and up to now it’s been messy from all sides. But the bottom line is; what have been proven?
I’ve invested and have basically written off my investment so any gains will be a bonus. I have however learned a lot as I am sure others have.

I have tried to stay objective and after everything that’s happened still feel there’s some value for investors, just not sure how much.

So while I do have a trading plan I will hold onto my shares indefinitely until I make my profit. If not, so be it, it’s been fun reading, learning and engaging with everyone on here and other social media platforms.

Jip. We need to be patient. If people stop selling due to fear and hold onto shares we will see steady increases.
But as I mentioned already a lot of investors are newbies and they are easily influenced.
I will happily hold my shares until December

Wise words Polly.
For the share to rise it needs the kpmg report, then audited financials and then lawsuits to clear and investment upgrade. Then to gain trust of investors.... Very long road ahead (if). Always the next thing required. Speculation and traders will be playing games till above is in place. Just be carefull it is not at your expense.

PWC.... if kmpg we even more screwed πŸ€£πŸ˜‚

I asked snh about a share buy back because it's the easiest strategy to drive value but also then to do a debt equity swap at a later stage. The clear answer was unfortunately its a closed period for the company and therefore can execute on the proposed arbitrage.
The response from snh was quick to give me comfort that at least this was considered

nice thinking out of the box IE

But dont even go there...Company is technically insolvent and busy rescheduling loans.

Companies act will never allow never allow share buy back in this state of company's liquidity!!!!!

the whole bang lot here. everyday its this coming out and that coming out.. But what does price do?
market knows about all thse facts days before....buy the rumour sell the fact exactly like today...Now its PWC report.. Guys common sense says that report is going to take a very long time because of the extent of fraud carried out. and the longer the delay the more fraud will be uncovered by the report .

Pwc has to check and re check every fact...if they make one mistake they are in firing line...plus time is lucrative to them..there was no ways they were going to quickly bang out a report...this is mega for their reputation as well....

That's the patern. Good news up, then down till the next round. Don't get it either.

There are no really concrete fundamentals to go on, so think many people are just speculating. My guess

Youre right.EVERYBODY is just speculating.SNH is so awol it defies all logic and fundamentals.

From what ive understood snippit, it seems to me that nothhing is certain and these projections are contingent upon multiple factors that are out of steinhoffs control?

So in essence it is a guess but a sorta calculated one based on unknowns?
Which kinda does leave us with a boat in the river to stay afloat hopefully, but no ores?

Nothing will ever be certain except death and taxes.

Steinhoffs control of the share price is evidently non existent. If they could find some cash then they could buy back, but alas...

When you buy and sell the price is known Its just that the in between bit becomes clearer with hindsight.

Technical Analysis (TA) is known about by every trader, but many are also put off Elliott theory by the relative complexity and subjectiveness of it.

You need to know what you are, are you a trader or an investor? Once you know this you can go to the right section of the library to learn about it.

You may be a cowboy, a novice, and think you can work out when to buy and sell from what the news reports are guessing. You may even make some money but the odds are heavily against you if greed brought you to Steinhoff where you proceed to overdo it and experience an unexpected and acute fear of loss.

Some postings here indicate such cowboys busy losing money.

Once you know what you are about and what others are about then you are better equipped to understand if you are adequately knowledgeable about the basics involved to benefit from any interaction.

  1. Trusting strangers on an anonymous chat forum can be a risky business. Even more risky than the stock market.
  2. I have tried to warn the vulnerable, being those without adequate savvy: e.g.: https://swrict.blogspot.com/2018/11/sharechat-warning.html
  3. Vultures circle hereabouts. Give them control and say goodbye to your money.
