Polly did you read the article that was shared on this whereby he agreed via his lawyer to appear on 05 Sept under specific conditions, if the summons is withdrawn, and this was agreed?

Are you still of opinion that he will not show under these revised and agreed upon conditions?

I agree with your sentiments and he will not provide much insight. It will be a waste of time.

I do however think he will be creating problems for himself if he does not show up on 05 Sept under the conditions that he himself negotiated in order to get out of summons.

I think what the chairperson of the parliament Committee needs to ask Mr Jooste is why he is not availing  himself to assist PWC with their inquiry. If he showed them exactly where the books were cooked, the investigation time could have been halved if not quartered thereby also saving steinhoff a lot of money. This , I think is important because of the prominence of this share crash in SA and the number of big local institutional and public investments in the share. His absence made the probe more difficult and time consuming.

What if Marcus was arrogant to think that he had legitamately exploited holes in finial accounting... Or loop holes... Rather then fraud... What If he justifies intercompany loans as does the entire European union..
Proving fraud is not easy... Or clear cut...
I am not defending the aCcounting genius... Or condoning the erosion of share value...
Creditors have some confidence in defending the litigation... Why else would they risk their investment....
Time will tell.... A day for le grange... A week for Marcus...and 4 months for pwc...

Thanks for the responses...well I jumped on board and looks like I gotta ride this wave.... Was reading hemisphere agreement and it's just a few amendments each time so they shud sign up after they work that out... After snh I'm gone! Cnt stand to see my money drop like this haha.
