Am so tempted to sell up snh and get pepkor..... IN pepkor is associated with snh howcome they doing so well but not snh? Do u forsee pepkor dissassociating itself with snh in the near future? Would that be possible or will that be a decision only snh can make

Pepkor has a better risk profile compared with snh without fear of litigation liability.

@ Lionelza1 Don't throw Aveng out with the baby's bathwater. Read Aveng sharechat..something is bound to happen by 10 Sept.You and Polly and others can still make lots of money there while waiting for Steinhoff to bear fruit.

SNH owns 71% of Pepkor,

From pep's financial results" Pepkor is a separately listed company and, after the recent refinancing of shareholder funding, is financially independent. The removal of all cross guarantees pertaining to the Steinhoff shareholder funding has been a major milestone. The company has taken a conservative approach with a specific focus to identify and limit any future downside risk."

Pepkor borrowed R 18 billion to replace the part of pepkor that was paid using SNH shares.

On the other hand there is no reliable financial data for people to make an informed decision on whether to invest or not except for the interim unaudited results you've seen.

Sorry mate this is rediculous. Jooste will not incriminate himself. He may give information that is already available and may defend his thinking using the accounting laws. Not sure parliament are adequately skilled to ask the right questions. There will be lots of emotion. He may also call in sick and not appear. I don't expect much. His lawyer will also defer questions so a big waste of tims

Yup... Let alone Parliament.... The hawks r probably in a flat spin w. r. t the investigations etc is why he's not arrested as yet....too complicated for them... Parli enquiry will not give any damning evidence

@Lionalza1

My 6c worth of Aveng share advice: Hope you are correct as most of us would like to see that progression. However this week ....I believe Mr Markus Jooste (also known as the Seagull CEO#) is to appear in parliament. A lot will depend on what he or his adviser says or do not say..AND...we all know how sensitive and emotional shareholders can be.

So I will have my R1.50 ready to pounce because I expect he might just perhaps be lifting the lid of that deep dark sarcophagus full of accounting gymnastics for us to see.

Seagull CEO#: According to the Die Stellenboschse Boys, Mr Jooste use to fly in for a short while, inspect the facility, then sh*t on the heads of all the senior managers and fly out...... LOL

Forget about charts...my view for the present situation: buy lots if it hits 1.50 and then keep on selling if and when it rockets to 3.00 to make a profit...simple....If y're in between 2.50 and more...then buy more as it drops.... to lower your average price..If you are in for the short term..wait a for a couple of months...easy decision..in 6-8 months the share will be at 7-8 at least.

We done playing in the R1's.... We'll joll a bit in the R2's till midweek.... Then breeze past R3 and picnic a bit in the R4's 1st week Sept.... That's if Mr market takes its weekly dose of Prozac by 2morrow

Pepkor price rallying. Massively undervalued. This in itself would push snh value up. Can Pepkor reach 30 in 6months...perhaps if the return r500m to shareholder and not management... I expect pepkor to start making some bold regional growth and cross selling over the next 6 to 12 months.
Does anyone have a pepko valuation. Be interesting to see impact on snh price with Pepkor at r30
