This afternoon/evening we should hear more about TT's side as the case in the High Court will continue today when the applicants who brought the application for the liquidation of SIHNV will speak...

I really hope that this greedy TT guys can go away.

My feeling is the tide has turned and they now getting the wind from the front!!! They not yipping too much these days on the media!!!

 

Its impossible for a party with a claim of Eur100 mil to take on all other with claims of Eur12 bil!!!

 

The PIC has over 10% of the shares at present and they not going to like to loose all that to the TT guys that got over paid for the business discussed on a race course!!! ( As I heard on the radio show)

 

For me its just a matter of time when reality will hit home and they will have to make a decision either join the GS or face loosing everything and hope for the share price to recover so that they can make some money provided they still have the shares!!

 

My thoughts are they are not making any meaningful money out of the 36 Mr. Tekkie stores to sustain the legal battles!!!

 

From various media articles looks like the legal costs are already running for them over the R65 mil surely this is just the start!!!

 

We need to be patient and let time solve the problems.

I think you 100% correct. The more delays the less time TT old boys will have to enter the GS.

 

For me this is a cat and mouse game TT trying to muscles more money out of SNH and LdP on the other hand is causing lots of delay and costs to them.

 

The more I think this liquidation application is just simply noise because surely the fight should be first in the courts to establish if SNH indeed has to pay the money back. Only then if TT wins and SNH cannot pay that the liquidation proceeding should be started.

 

Anyway just my thoughts not a lawyer but this whole thing smell very fishy!!!

Haha my friend you need to get a case of green beer and go fishing! You going to miss out is lots of action. TT old boys not doing so well at this moment ( maybe one of the reason they not pumping up the comments in the biased media) !! I believe they will eventually decide to join the GS instead of walking away with nothing and lots of legal costs!!!

Steinhoff again requests postponement of liquidation application.
The hearing on the application to have the Dutch Steinhoff International Holdings (SIHNV) liquidated could not continue on Tuesday because the company had brought another application to postpone it.
SIHNV on Saturday brought the application to adjourn the trial. The trial is set to take place from Tuesday to Friday.
The application was brought by SIHNV pending the final determination of its appeal against a court order of Judge Hayley Slingers of 6 September in which it found that a South African court had jurisdiction to decide on the liquidation of a company set up abroad and registered.
Steinhoff's application for leave to appeal against the verdict was heard by Slingers in the high court on Friday and verdict is reserved.
Adv. Arnold Subel SC, who is acting for Steinhoff, argued on Tuesday that the trial could not continue because SIHNV had also brought an application for leave to appeal in the appellate court.
The applications are being sought on an urgent accelerated basis.
If Slingers refuses the leave to appeal, the application is heard by the appellate court and if she grants it, it is also heard by the appellate court.
Steinhoff CEO Louis du Preez, in the founding affidavit accompanying the application, told Slingers she had rejected the previous application for adjournment because she understood the appellate court had not yet accepted the application.
"The position has now changed and the justification for why the previous adjournment was refused is no longer in question. The case has now been accepted by the appellate court and a case number has been assigned."
Steinhoff is in the process of finalizing a two-legged settlement, one with the creditors of its South African subsidiary and one with that of the parent company in the Netherlands.

Plus indictment could mean jail which I think Jooste and his co-conspirators need to spend a lot of time in. I think it should be in an SA jail as the German jail would be too comfortable no doubt

Marcus Jooste is being Indicted by Germany. There is a difference between Sue and Indict. The difference is Sue is the beginning of a legal case… where indicted means he is already found guilty just needs to be charged with the crime.

Hi Zanme I am sure in the forum no one would have a issue with your comments if they at very least made sense!

 

I would be for sure one of the forum persons that would take your comments seriously if they had any value and supporting evidence for the statements.

 

All you do on your posts is insult SNH Management (namely LdP) without a single proof or statements showing facts.

 

All your posts to me shows a deep hatred for LdP and also shows you lack financial and legal knowledge!!

 

I have asked you a number of times what would you do if we shareholders voted you to CEO and to date nothing from your side.

 

It is indeed very tiring listening to the same old LdP bashing without any valid reason!!

 

Very sure if you also put your contact details in the forum he (LdP) would take you to the cleaners!!! You would not go past GO or collect R200!!!
