LIONEL I allready have 95 npn shares bought at 3030 and will be buying more when drops well under 3k...this share will be going up and a strong company much less risky then those other pnes you dealing in....try to get balanced portfolio then if you have a gambling share you wont loose all if somet6goes wrong..just my take

What price do you reckon will bottom ar to buy in ? Dont want miss the boat but will kick myself if buy now and drops furth5

Jet its difficult to predict exact time to buy in...to get that right i think u gotta know how market works and importantly the kinda information it reacts to...also a bit of luck....all that comes with experience and having plenty knowledge of what ur buying into.....Naspers to me doesnt seem like a risky share so buying on the drop and if it drops further it should be fine coz they'll be an up again....low risk shares generally long term investments.....you'll make your money....newbies opinion handle with care haha

And if u ask me, you missed that boat already unless you bought in around 2006....mamma mia!!!

Just remember Naspers is not a share you can live off at old age from a dividend perspective (unless you do the R30+ million buy option, which is slightly out of my budget - about 98%).  You have to sell shares to make a profit and the dreadful taxes that goes with it because you have to feed the entitled parasites. In short the growth in value is not equal to the growth in dividends, looks good on book value and great for fund investors that suspiciously looks like they pay staff salaries using hypnotized pension funds monthly contributors money with the false pretense of tax benefits.  Value is only liquidity when you sell it or earn dividends from it, otherwise it is just a digital entry in someones shareholders equity.

Jk if you have anymore input re npn buy levels please let me know...i want more and edging up again...maybe drop later in week...this is 1 share i really want more of.

The current trend is downward with a few resistance levels on both up and down.  Active traders can benefit from this volatility.  Although there has been a 'slight' break-away from tencent realistically it is still the anchor to the NPN share.  From a tencent perspective still a lot of downside.  Inability to launch new games, restriction from big brother on how much and how long kids may play, but tencent made massive investments across the globe for future growth (even bought 5% stake in Tesla - probably good in long term). There is a huge cultural issue at play here:  Western world do not want government interfering with freedom of choice (That is why you see the backlash on Facebook), for Chinese people freedom of speech and choice is a limited edition and since they are brought up that way, they are ok with it.

But traders like in the corporate world work with scorecards for short term gains - so tencent gets punished.  That said it really looks like it will get punished maybe another 20% down in the next 3 months.

Then there is the trump factor: right or wrong, actually the Chinese is making it hard for foreigners to do business, google can operate, but has to be censored.  So, trump is trying to level the playing field - investors dislike uncertainty with the attitude of 'there something better to buy'.  Result is a bear market in China.

Then there is our own political play gains for next year's election that doesn't really attract foreign investment.

I don't think Polly is far off with 2560, unless tencent or the 30 odd analysts covering it, come out with some interim results or prediction it is going to be hard stopping the trend.

On the upside - value of NPN is about 5000 a share.  So you can buy anytime you want to now and you will be handsomely rewarded in future - but in good human nature we want the best price to maximize returns.   I will hold back to below 3000, and if it does not go below 3000 or even 2800, then I will blame stupid and curse myself for a week or so.

  1. Trusting strangers on an anonymous chat forum can be a risky business. Even more risky than the stock market.
  2. I have tried to warn the vulnerable, being those without adequate savvy: e.g.: https://swrict.blogspot.com/2018/11/sharechat-warning.html

Buying levels:

1. on  a weekly close above R3600  Ie break of resistance

2.  on minor support level R3000.00

3. Ideal buying level will be about R2560.00

Sell levels..

1. around resistance of R3600.00

2. break of R3000 to downside

3. go big short on break of R2560.00

fixed the typo to R3000 break

Not sure that it will go down to R 2560 though

See my new topic on Mix Telematics (MIX), think it is a good growth share although slightly pricey.
