Yes wonder why haven't put out anything...and delayed financials to 13th
Sources tell me that they may delay results until the third week of Jan. It's a legal issue that they have to sort out

This does not look like good news for Ellies:

The majority of South Africans cannot afford a DSTV subscription. Many rural areas need satellites and aerials just to pick up SABC and ETV. Your article also makes the assumption that you would need an ADSL or Fibre subscription (an additional R500-800 per month over and above your DSTV subscription) to utilize DSTV now (aka no satellite required). This will hardly be feasible for the average DSTV compact subscriber, which is the only segment and LSM that DSTV is growing at the moment.
Ellies is also more than just a satellite provider. Load shedding being on the cards again actually has good earning potential for the company in the coming months for their renewable energy arm of their business should it get bad and if Eskom is as broke as it claims to be.

This is something that management should be looking at on a continuous basis. A great question to ask at the AGM #WishICouldBeThere.
