man i am stupid ..apologies ig cash is 43 650..not 44650 ...almost 400/450 points lower....I still dont know why it is that low even if it comprises top 40 stocks...alsi futures is 190 points above top 40 yes...whatever..charts and channels apply anyway..with fibonaartjies.

howdy mx125 i trade alsi futures....i suggest most people should...market makers are scandalous...to be brutally honest I see IG at 44646 something..way higher than alsi futs.. what is IG's compilation ...is it the top 40 shares cash price?? even then it should mimic alsi 40 futures price plus 47 days of interest which is about 190 points added enlighten me..why is IG 44635 now? sure but i dont use them and wish all well if they are happy

Roundtree i'm with you on that dow thing back to 13100... prollem is it's keeping the illusion up...it's what yanks are about....the illusion is everything to them....fake money..fake business models...berny maddofs boiler rooms is the american way..way to go guys...very proud huh.. and besides the 'control desks' cannot let the world see a yank or dow is weak...so they buy it...push the futures higher...so naah dow up. and MACD of first graph is clear story (having trouble  relating to second graph though as too small ) I must go find seasonal chart covering of the easter weekend 

-- also chance that we fall less hard than SPX and DJI (unless e.g.  serious downgrade by rating agency etc)

Are we going to make it to the top of this channel? It's line comes in at 45200ish (TOP40F)...we will know next week!

 

On your question if we are going to fall less..think we're going to fall harder than they due to QE affecting us more...!

howdy roundtree...(by the way i like your trading style mate..seems spot on) man ..shoosh I am short....so waiting... we could spike higher than your 44044 though - dow should try a retest of 16300, and altho your call is accurate ceteris paribus and it seems spot on - we could see 44187.. 44237 287 cos the weak rand hogs think we must test previous weakness highs...so the commods alsi majors could take us higher than the channel... head fake us?? top gaps all closed....bottom gaps to close?? is the tech damage enough stateside?? dunno

I agree with you on the Dow; 16321 is how I see it. But there's a possibility of retracing to 16111 (to give the other kids a chance to play) before the push up to 16300. 

 

Regarding the ALSI, I can see 44187 being reached today. I know I should wait until then but I can't. My system strictly says I make no decision when it comes to trading. However, if we haven't reached 44044 by 14h30, I'll cancel the order and recalculate my entry, as that will be a sign that the banksters are looking for an all time high; an entry for a short for me, I guess.

i gotta say this..for the sake of frogs still being allowed to be been born all colours.... there is a channel commencing 2009 that takes alsi to 56 000 points. cof cof if the dow hyper inflates (i.e. dollar index falls below 72 onwards to 45 or lower) dow goes to 31000/33000 al al argentina anyone whom thinks the USD is to weaken should be long stocks....vice versa

at least the shorts have nervousness on their side...we never had that nervousness before the dow had it's recent Moses moment..so volatility could help us average down. we always make money..it's just getting the averages right. my call on rand strength for the long term is right however...not because we are a surplus economy at all...but because the USD is on life support and they can't pay the electricity bill. Brics rule. USD bully boy been expelled from school soon. And yellow stone gonna dust them off a little.

I took a burn on my previous short.

Was not nice. That is why I dont like trying to trade the longer term.

 

IMO, anyone short this market is in for a beating.

We will need some news event to give us a correction, if no news comes, I suspect that we will only get a reasonable correction just before US finishes up it tapering, so only in near the end of the year do I see a correction coming.

 

I dont see anything that changed the view of buying the dip.

 

Not even Ukraine issue can take us down, or so it seems.

ZoomZ, what do you make of this price action? I see today's top at 44044. But the run up to that level is rather slow, which makes me slightly nervous. I've got an order up there waiting for these boys.
