As an example yesterday the close was 42905 but IG markets has since dropped 300 points since then over night..
Does it balance out over the course of the day or is it completely separate?

Please Crash
Left Side is Dow Price in 1929
Right Side is Dow Price yesterday, as it was braking down yesterday.
The right side needs to do what the left side did in 1929

China PMI employment sub-index lowest since February 2009
That's when the bull market started

Not quite 48, S, but close enough.

Due at 03h45: HSBC/Markit Flash reading for manufacturing PMI for February
- expected is 49.5
- prior was 49.5
Let’s look at some scenarios and assess what the impact is likely to be for each…
If the reading comes in at 49.5 or close to (49.4 – 49.6):
- This will be as expected (or close) and the impact may not be large … continuing to create fear of a China slowdown
If the reading comes in at 49.7 – 49.9 :
- This would lead to less fear in the markets (a potential turnaround for China?) and a slightly better positive for ‘risk’
If the reading comes in at or above 50 (putting the index back into ‘expansion’):
- Will be very positive for ‘risk-on’ sentiment Stocks and Commodities
- AUD will view it as a very positive input
If the reading comes in well below 49.5 (say, below 49.3)
- It will reignite China slowdown fears
- Negative for ‘risk’ and for the AUD and Stocks

Thanks. (in the real-world maybe yah. P.s. IG close to hitting 43k again!)
I feel better having vented though!
9 point turn around on SP500 futures...thats .5 of a percent..I noticed that a 1 % drop on SP500 equates to about 400 pips on IG
Thats just a casual observation

Look, IG has been very kind (or at least, my trading has been good this past couple of weeks), but how IG is choking J200 right now, is just irritating! a 200 point drop (and falling) since market close
'twas at the tipping point for a massive short, now this cave-in puts J200 below a realistic entry (using IGM) right now.
