Tongue in cheek, but do World Markets collude to bring out bad news at times?

Remember the two article links I posted + I know RSA does not mean much in the economic world but multiple EM countries rising rates. Means the cycle started and I guess that is that.

And the word EM meltdown is now engraved! !!

I find trading like body surfing, catch the right one and you will make it all the way to the beach.

Margin debt at all time High

margindebtfishmouthspreadjan29.jpg

The last time margin debt was this high, the stock market crashed

I have a friend who just lost 80k now.

He put too much margin on his trades.

Money management is key.

S, what I get is that the Fed will aper by 10 - seems done thing - they like to leak decision  so as not to upset expectations and thus the financial markets - you still think them doing that will hit ALSI negatively tomorrow -

Marcus's 0.5 interest hike has been coming for about three years now - but it makes geared capital structures on the balance sheet more expensive - ( and bad debts to rise - normally interest rates hike to cool down an economy warming up too much - but now to do it when consumer already against the ropes!!! and increasing rates , compared to trading partners, is not taht effective to prop up currency)

My dax long hit stop.

Today is not about weather we taper or not, it's about a crash landing

Marcus was pressured to increase the rate by other EM markets. The economy does not warrant it.

It will be a total mess for EM Markets if FED taper today. Their rate hikes wont work. Traders can see desperate central bankers easily.

Remember 1992 when the pound crashed. BOE tried everything until they ran out of reserves to make the pound stronger.

The pound crashed, and George Soros made 1billion pounds on one single trade betting against BOE

I will not be buying South African consumer stocks anytime soon. Retail stocks with South African operations fill the pressure now.

Good luck with paying for your house, car and starting small business.

I can see ALSI dropping past 39000 soon. I would just say sell every rally. Don't buy this market.

Use money management and place shorts at intervals on rallys. Within 3 months you will tank me.

South Africa is surely in a recession now.

From PIIGS to RATS: Russia Argentina Turkey SouthAfrica

Rate hike did not work as i expected. We've seen this movie before Marcus, ask BOE 1992 was no joke.

We just need the FED to taper, so the 15-20% correction can start playing out.

Even if they don't taper, continue selling.

Its 2014 a new year. The playing field has changed

You must know when to change with the facts to be a good trader.

Don't think we will get to new highs on ALSI, not even on DAX,DOW and S&P.

Markets will be very volitile for the next 6months. It's just a matter of time before this baby crashes.

Every rally is just a relief rally.

Primary IV for the US is still missing...

Agree with the crash coming but my 2c not yet...something is missing!

The current sentiment for EM's is too bearish and therefor a contrarian indicator, and together with the classic distribution top missing on the US charts still see new highs before the yearly red hanger sale kicks off!

But guess mr market will show us soon...

Same setup as when they announced the taper, market takes it negative at first but then it realises the economy is actually picking up so start rallying...if this downmove recovers (looks like it) then very bullish and the last rally of this bullphase with new highs have commenced...! B)

Possible inverted H&S..could still work on the right shoulder!

If this fails then new lows...
