Good call S with SNP and Nasdaq. Not trusting the Dow atm. I just bought SNP. Have 0.25 of my shorts that with SL set at 1810. long SL at 1788

Have a good weekend. Hope the "buy the crater" pans out.

Every correction on S&P in 2013 was no more than 100 points down.

100 points down from S&P top is 1750

The S&P peak drawdown from record highs so far today(1792) is -3%. A 5% drawdown would be (1758), 10% (1665), and 15% (1573)

If you look at the S&P 2013 chart, the is no time that it corrected for more than 100points. I guess a close below 1750 will be my line in the sand. Stop buying for good.

As long as we are above 1750 i will keep buying.

I dont know about ALSI, it's probably going to 34000 from here

Brave! I dont know much, but people (the market) will be scared come Monday and emotions will take over.

It's scary to buy the dip. It's like selling the rally.

The only index i'm buying now is Nasdaq

Don't bet on a bounce this time around..Sell signal was generated 10 days ago on SP500...Sell off to 1750 on the cards..We might see 41000 before the bleeding stops..Just my 1c..Im still trying recovering the other 1c "__)

41000 is possible on JSE open on Monday. I don't know how EM markets will perform for now. I would keep shorts on ALSI open.

Since S&P is more technical it needs to rally back to 21DMA which is about 1840, then shorts should be back in the picture.

DAX will go back to 9795. 9900 did not come.

I said the range will be 9400-9900, which means for now 9400-9795 is the range.

EM Markets are dogs until China shows an expansion. The Chinese stock market has broken a key support at the 200DMA

Guess ALSI had a Good Pump and Dump before the fall

4 hours to go... Can we close above 810/815?

We are just below the 50DMA, I'm starting to buy. S&P and NASDAQ

S&P stop 1783 https://pbs.twimg.co...AR1gY.jpg:large

Nasdaq stop 3500

I will add Dax next week. Some bulls have been shaken off, good time to start buying.

Thanks David , very informative ,and also for EM article - further downside for us?

I definitely do not know, but i think A has it right. This might be the pause to 41k then 44k, but then pop(down) goes the ALSI.

Im short just fyi, but will take any long coming my way. Im also a bull.

1780 support i think - also look at their 50d MA support there - I dont follow Dow really ( I should though!)

1814 and 16175 is broken.

It's Blood in the streets now.

Lets see what the FED does now.

China PMI is shrinking

US earnings are bad, it's going to be rock and roll

for those of you trading with IG, if you want to see something interesting (maybe you all know this) look at the 5min Dow and SA40 Cash graph - exactly the same!!

normally is, since our markets is closed and IG trading off an algorithm probably partly based on currency and overseas indices and futures and where there is multi listed shares
