Nothing wrong with booking about 500 points that only took you about 2 hours of actual trading time to earn.

Speaking of Europe you're right in that they've ignore the risks over there. If Le Pen wins, France could well follow Britain out. Not to mention the mess of the banking system, the pushback against migrants and EU politics. But the DAX and CAC are approaching all-time highs. Amazing.

As you've said such is the bubble. The ability for the human mind to be biased in its thinking is truly a spectacle. I always think of the stock market as the greatest running psychological experiment in history. Over and over again we show our true natures. This will crash and then it will recover and in 10 years time we'll be right back here wondering how markets could be doing this again.

 

Overcoming those biases and seeing the truth in the market situation will be profitable on the short-side when this thing starts moving. Can't say I've mastered it at all but the first step is just being aware I'd say.

Tend to agree with you. Let's see what Europe does or more specifically the FTSE. They've also had a sterling weakness driven euphoric rally that needs to unwind in some form or fashion. Europe has also ignored all their own inherent risks since the election and in fact since Brexit so at some they go down. I would suggest it would be simultaneous to the US sell-off.

I think 44k should hold today. I can see it dropping below next week only. But the market is a funny beast.

Also went short around 44,644 you recon it will drop below 44,000 soon? I don't like keeping open positions over the weekend
