You may want to hold on a little bit longer seems like she might go below 44,200
If it breaks that there's a lot of technical energy to take if a lot further. My short-term trades are only about 10% of my capital so the remaining portion is holding short in any case targeting much lower levels.

I'll definitely take a bit off in that sort of area if not the whole of my short-term short

I don't normally trade with targets, i only trade what i see. But it would be good if we could see today's lows again 44,250 thereabout would be a good exit

Have you got a target or just a quick scalp? Same story still with the US market dictating direction.
I don't normally trade with targets, i only trade what i see. But it would be good if we could see today's lows again 44,250 thereabout would be a good exit

Are you possibly seeing the actual top 40 index value or rather the CFD that tracks the actual value? We're talking about ALSI or rather the Top 40 future

I'm honestly not sure which way it goes today. I've got a smallish net short of 44 384 and I will add a bit to it at 44 500 if it gets there. Commodities seems weak today in the face of the strong dollar. I'm honestly surprised BHP is up but I guess it's tracking Oil rather than Copper etc.
Bhp tomorrow ex div. Maybe market buying in today still. Big drop tomorrow ex div though.

Agreed. A break over 44 500 and out of the short-term triangle would surely mean 45 000. There isn't really any 'positive' news flow but at the same time the markets gone flat after the US once again bought the dip last night. I guess I would suggest bulls and bears be careful here.
