Debt ceiling, apparently there is going to be no more borrowing by the US govt,,

If that happens there will be chaos...

So I dont believe it...

 

Trump apparently wants another Trillion USD to start his plans for defense and infrastructure...

So if  the congress wont give it to him!!!!!

So far is basically just an MTN rally. Can't last in my opinion. Any weakness in the industrial complex is going to send this thing negative and very negative at that with resources doing so poorly. Let's see how Europe performs with the first signs that Trump's policies aren't going to go through smoothly and all the risk events coming up on the 15th March.

Ok just shorted 44400... let's see how ftse opens

Resources very weak and expect it to go down. Rand will continue to strengthen. IMO we are down down down down although still slow puncture mode.

 

If resources can reverse this heavy downtrend well then only we might se a bounce.

I'm continuing to short it aggressively. Today's positive day doesn't stack up when looking at the external drivers. Weak equities, weak commodities and strong Rand. Only thing I can think of is short squeeze and the usual Naspers euphoria.

We all know that the US markets are overvalued by any metric / indicator...

But until the Grand Monster Yellen raises interest rates this could drag out for a while or until our patience pills run out,,

 

I want a nice double  /  triple top on the US markets on a higher time frame...

 

Where can I buy patience pills????

If you look at the Daily chart you will see we have dropped some 3,000 points and the drop started towards the end of January. 

 

There is definitely some support around these levels as this was the resistance area around November and December. 

 

ALSI also touched the lower Bollinger Bands and looking at the MACD seems like the MACD line might just start turning anytime soon. Upper Bollinger Band is around 46,300

Definitely agree with your assessment on the daily chart. That price movement wouldn't be inconsistent with the general long-term downtrend on the ALSI.

 

I just wonder if the weekly chart isn't the more relevant long-term chart at the moment considering the valuations on the US market and whether the weekly 200MA might form a long-term downward triangle. The other price point being the lows in December or that 42.5-42.75 level.

Amazed we haven't moved down more here. Every single external factor showing weakness. Fear of the US buying the dip I guess. Definitely holding some shorts overnight with this mispricing.

This 44170 - 44250 level being showing support on 4 hrs charts

Last week Wednesdays low still in play and hasn't been taken out... YET
