Argento, if I understand correctly, you reckon the longer term trend supports a breakout to the bottom? And Chubby's view support a reversal from that support line? Where "exactly" is that line and where should we place our orders (whether going short or long from that line)? Around 39000??

Alsi got a buy now and get one free special.  so buy now... lol.

On a serious note, think it might be 39200 or 39000. For today it might be 392, but it will come back i think.

This, or will it stay in the wedge/megaphone...?

Did a bit of googling.

http://www.trending1...l_triangle.html

To summarise:

Megaphone Top: Rare, longer timeframe pattern - Bulls and Bears fighting it out with higher highs and lower lows until the uncertainty created by the increased volatility results in profit taking. As bullish optism reaches a breaking point and the bears eventually triumph.

Interesting.

This, or will it stay in the wedge/megaphone...?

Besides showing increasing volatility, is there any predictive value in a 'backwards wedge' as shown in the pic attached? (daily candles) Is it a pattern which plays out in a documented way?

Seems we're almost at the bottom line of this thing (megaphone)? What then??

Ah nice, Veritas man!

Yeah, they built this huge new res on the grass of "Kom-en-Gaan" for Laureus. Potch is really exploding, flats popping up everywhere around town.  My parents stay in Potch, so I still go there.

Heard Overs grass is also going..need more space to build they say...!Hehe

Parents also live there and where I grew up!Always nice going back...

2006 - 2010

I was in Laureus. (We/they recently went from being the smallest res to the largest after they built a new res that can accomodate 280-300!)

Have a slightly different interpretation of the charts into the the next 2 weeks with our bottom or near bottom already being put in for a rally into the 13th. SP500 to get close to 1820 in that time before she takes a hit to 1790 area.

Also love trading the top40 because its so challenging but would like to trade the SP500 once I get the hang of our markets in a few years time :)

Chubs,

Reason I am also calling for a low mid December is due to futures close-out, normally the underlying trend (down) runs until then and from there we see big countermoves...put the 18th Dec down in your calender!

Nope, Pukke (Potch/NWU).  Finished 8 exams there and did the rest while working.

Haha, I'll say yes (that it was me) so that I can take some credit for your brilliance! :)

Hahahaha, no brilliance here! But thanks for the compliment.

Just to clear up, I didn't study Actuarial Science, we just shared a couple of subjects in the start of our courses.

Lol!

Ek dink die grootte van my rekening is meer die rede :) Glo dit of nie, nie alle aktuarisse is skatryk nie! :)

Well, I am one away from qualifying... It has been a long and tough road. And I am not trading ALSI for time being (well, the past year at least).   :D

*edit*, Oh and I don't think I am that stereotypical :P

From your perspective, Lekkerry is faceless and to a degree nameless, so any opinions expressed are just that, opinions from someone on the Internet  :D

Ok, I knew an AJ at RAU that studied same, would have been strange if it was you.

Use to copy analytically science from him in tests  :)
