I am missing something A? According to Marketwatch the S&P futures are green. Have a long @ 40 792.
Should never trade our market based on the US futures...can change in a jiffy!

She is about to make a 30min bearish cross and there is no sign of the US turning up, so I am staying in!
The uptrend line has been broken (can't post chart) so my PF target remains 40350ish (futures), but she should zig zag down so in S words...PUMP AND DUMP!
Trend is down for now...

Thanks A. Think I'll stay with my original plan and hang tight. Hesitant though to take some extra positions, in order to make my points target a little less.
Not so sure I agree with Sam completely, as it seems to me that the FED has made their mind up to taper, and a little bad data is not going to stop them?

Can't decide whether to cut my losses and cover all my shorts now, but think I'm going to keep it until after the weekend at least still. Argento??

The plunge yesterday, was largely caused by good GDP data out of the US and the associated fear of QE tapering sooner than later. Whether the move was justified remains to be seen, but as someone smart once said to me, traders are generally like menopausal women who constantly need something to worry about.
I was fortunate enough ( luck I guess, on Argento's post around 4pm yesterday) to be short and have just cut my trade with a great profit, and intend playing the test of the day this way:-
Stay out until 3:30pm. If the employment data out of the US is worse than forecast, then go long as bad news is good news ( likelihood of tapering distanced).
If the data is better, then throw the kitchen sink into a short as the market will plunge. Why I'd prefer good data is so we will get a bigger and more profitable move. My reasons:- A correction is needed and if you look at the daily SPX chart, you will notice that a little gap lies a bit further down in the 1730/40 region. This gap on a move downwards will undoubtably close and put the SPX on important support..... And if that breaks well.....
For those of you who don't know where to find the data, have a look at Forexfactory.com.
Trading by emotion and/or expectation is a pocket emptying certainty.

Tech Trader, I guess you don't want to give away all your secrets, but what technicals do you use? (Where did you learn your trade, if I may also ask?)

Pain for me this morning!
I'm long @ 41330, bounced nicely on 30min support line. Will keep this small long open over night.
Was stoped out of shorts yesterday. Was playing golf.
Very expensive golf game. ai
Will try to get a short entry
Ouch! Maybe a bit of a gap close perhaps ...

David you u right, if u guessing you are gambling, If u hopeing you will lose money, If you are a bull only or a bear only then you are not a true trader, a true trader is able to identify a long or a short and take advantage of it, for examble, this week had 6 longs and 4 shorts already all winners, as did not guess, playing 5 to10 minis at a time. only using technicals. for a specific indicies which trading, not playing sa40 and comparing to wall street etc
