ALSI movement atm is rather obscure. I also favor a short, but am not too convinced (intraday).

Having me a packet of peanuts rather.

From your perspective, Lekkerry is faceless and to a degree nameless, so any opinions expressed are just that, opinions from someone on the Internet  :D

Did an short at 38380. Will maybe consider shorting at 38600 and 38800. Not sure if it will go to 38800, but maybe till 38600. What do yo clever people think?

Went short at 38380. Will stay short till end of week. If things go bad, it could fall to below 37000. The reward is bigger to the downside than to the upside. Dont want to miss is. Will add more at 38800. Dont think that will happen.....

China up 5%

I think we should make a new high today.

That's quite a logical and rational statement to make. However, our market is anything but rational. I'm keen to see what happens today. I hope for a change it behaves as we expect it to.

Perhaps, but as it stands right now there is resistance @ 38600. If we reach this level before 09:00 AM. I would wait a few minutes to see what equities activity looks like before going long.

Agree

If the Future open higher than expected. We might go higher than 38600.

Good Chinese data should give us another +-1% up day on Monday. Then I will short heavily.
Looks like it might be more than 1% up

Jakes so if china inflation goes down we go higher and vice versa? Still I see more downside coming with or without the China data. Syria becoming a bigger nightmare atm.
China exports higher than estimated. And yes, I think you are right

Good luck with South African inflation

surely this market should dip another 100 points from here. It frustrates me to not see why our market is holding so well.

Our traders get the news last. LOL

Russia ain’t messin’ around and it’s lending a bid to oil while the quickening rout on the dollar.

A commitment to aid is a pretty bold statement and is basically a thumb right in Obama’s eye. He says chemical attacks were a provocation by Syrian rebels.

The White House has announced Obama will make a speech on Tuesday to shore up support for an attack. At the moment, it looks like he could love the vote in Congress.
