Yes. And new high coming. Oil is driving the market and it will now run up to 60$ till November when next Opec meeting.

Shorts are going to feel the squeeze imo.

A new high is almost 3000 points away from here. I don't think this market has the steam to get anywhere near there. From here on it's all about the US elections. The Fed is waiting for that to pass before they increase rates. If Trump wins the Fed will rush to raise rates. They're playing the political game.

Yes, weaker R and strong Europe squeezing the bears. Very much a Rand game. More R weakness could very much be on the cards. If so could take it a lot higher.

Hope you backed your prediction with some hard cash!

Definitely :-)

Africa will never be regarded as adult until all of its organisations stop admiring and protecting criminal dictators.

MSM et al presents (sponsored) opinion as fact and seeks to indoctrinate. Journalists without ethics proliferate in a swamp of filthy lucre (BBC inclusive).

In response to decades of racism by fearful minority whites called apartheid there will be an eternity of racism by revengeful majority blacks called all kinds of excuses.

Corruption is not yet compulsory but it may as well be - Aggressive africanization uses the racist Employment Equity Act as a club.

Too many humans are too busy copulating to bother about the irresponsible, unsustainable and progressively catastrophic population explosion.

Whilst humanity prevails so will evil. Evil will survive and thrive through sophisticated indoctrination and other conscience-suppressing disguises.

Desmond Tutu has been praying for the downfall of the ANC since 2011. Clearly he needs some assistance with such a difficult and worthy task..

Cockroaches still lurk on sharechat because it is prime real estate for their con artistry, duping and grand theft.

Well done gannet and B+B. Great reading of the market. More R weakness needed to get to 46k.

Downside gap closed so now for the upside gap.

InBev deal news as expected and the clockwork turns orange

Does anyone have an explanation for why IG's spread has suddenly shot up to almost 100 points today on the Cash contract? Normally it's around 20 - 30 points.

And then it just goes back to the normal 20 point spread. Is somebody from IG reading this board :-)

Oversold bounce as expected. If it keeps up the resulting short squeeze should see us getting to about 46k at least.

Very true. But when the ZAR weakens the Rand hedges are going give us that hard bounce I'm expecting. That will chase off the bears ... we have a short squeeze to fuel the rally ... then when the bears become bulls the axe falls and we quickly go to 41000 cash. What could be easier? (karma's already working on a plan to prove me wrong)

Pretty much the way I see it too. Here's hoping.

No real strength can be expected with this R strength. It is very much a Rand game.

Certainly very oversold at this point and a bounce is almost certain. Very quick and very sharp but without serious momentum IMO. The strongest bounces happen during bear markets (which we are in IMO). I'll be adding to shorts on every upswing.

We are clearly in a 3rd wave down on the hourly. Will we close that gap or double bottom? Once this baby bear has had it's fill we should/could see a hard bounce. Not a bounce I'd want to ride out if I was short and looking at the bigger pic

Yesterday saw the bulls staging a recovery to reclaim 45k. Can they do it again today.
