Lots and lots of selling going on, and open interest on Dec contract keeps going up, so I presume it is shorts being opened. If the market rallies tomorrow, a short squeeze could make the move so much bigger.

IMO, there is no way the FED will hike rates, the market does not expect a rate hike, I think they give it a 30% chance. And if the market does not expect it, and the FED hikes, it will be a bloodbath yes.
a More likely scenario imo, is they will pave the way for a Dec rate hike, (which I also dont think will happen). Speech might be a little hawkish, not enough to send markets tumbling, but enough to get the $ going against the ZAR, which will drag the Alsi up.
Equities are now living from FED meeting to meeting, as I think they have become accustomed to something happening before each meeting to push out the rate hike.
Bottom line, the FED cant hike rates. Market will tank & econ will go into tailspin.
But this is all just my opinion.

I'm not good at guessing games. If the Fed hikes ... the SPX catches a skrik ... and everyone else catches a moerse skrik!
If the Fed hikes we'll see a bloodbath IMO.

Question is how far the ZAR will go, as it is presumed also that ABInBev is bussy buying up ZAR to pay the SAB shareholders.
But I am still of the opinion that this is an over reaction.

Certainly. But with the BOJ and Fed meetings this week there's room for more downside. If the market likes what they say though then I expect a big bounce up. Will add to shorts on the bounce.
