The first goal is to ensure survival – avoid the risks that can empty your account and put you out of the trading business.

as i said... shorts be patient.... hold on tight!!! If you in already, chances are you're in pretty close to the highs, maybe even multi-year highs. put in a fair stop for well deserved profits.... and wait a couple of months or so

Hi Lekkerry,
The market is doing what it does best, confusing the crab out of traders!
Today is important and will show us if that inverted H&S is valid or also maybe a double top pattern..?
She is still under her major bear downtrend line and you are right with May being bearish, so mr market will have to show us today!
A
Some trading perspectives 101:
1. No one person or institution is 100% correct, 100% of the time.
2. Trading success is the positive nett effect of your profits and losses
3. You can not blame, shame or accuse anyone one for the lack of profitable trades
With that out the way, one thing is very clear:
Jakes, you are correct about QE, it does seem to make null and void wave-trading or even long-term technical charting analysis. One big but... BUT
What I am seeing, any hype and bullish trends are very short lived and need constant reaffirming and vocal motivation and actioning from the big boys and governmental institutions.
My dilemma: I am divided between the charts (dailies) that tell me ALSI is well on its way to 34800, by when it will then only reveal the next move, be it up or down.
The alternative, moving from the charts to (fundamental?) seasonality, ALSI must retract tomorrow, substantially.
Argento, what is your take on today's happenings? I am sure even the big boys are confused, unless they purely trade by techs.
Any PowerStock subscribers here, what is Ultra S2 doing atm (is it long or short).

I have finally found out why the market behaved so strangely the last couple of weeks. It is because Metallica and Justin Bieber are here at the same time, and Bieber sold his show out and Metallica didn't. That's just not right....

On the Twitter airwaves there is still a strong negative feeling regarding Draghi's negative deposit yield comments yesterday. Europe might just drag us down. Plus the fears regarding US jobs data has set in too. I always get the feeling some of these traders (institutional) know the data figures before release and you can see it in the market reaction throughout the day...
Once again I will wait a bit before I have a go but be careful with those longs for now I think...

Too fast imo. Gonna be a rikatiki day me thinks.
From your perspective, Lekkerry is faceless and to a degree nameless, so any opinions expressed are just that, opinions from someone on the Internet

Nice little scalp....

The mark of a professional, however, sounds like this:
It is my fault. I traded this position too large for my account size.
It is my fault. I didn’t stick to my own risk parameters.
