Seeing the Alsi is up nearly 100 points after we closed, shorting the Alsi now is a no brainer. Come Monday the slaughter of resource shares will continue. Gold and metals have continued falling after our markets closed. Some gold shares are down 8% in USA. If only i continued holding my AGL and BIL shorts! Still short ANG, Exx and ARI so cant complain!!
I reckon much more pain in store for us!!

Thanks HDB, I feel quite at ease now with my long ....

Very tempted to go long again. Seems on dailies that we are potentially entering a trading range / trending to the right with 33 750 as the bottom and 34 500 as the top. Or that the market have tested 33 750 three times and may bounce back .....
Whichever way, do not want to wait till Sunday night - typical Plasma move. Okay, will contemplate a bit more .....JAKES BEING LONG!!! Maybe that is the answer :)

Wow guys ! I spent a large part of the afternoon at an autobodyshop and didn't pay the Alsi any attention.
Switched back on to see it at minus 600 points.
Well done, L, A and Jakes, you should all be out celebrating tonight.
In a pretty peeved state, I went long at 34044 (fwd) with 2 full IG contracts and have subsequently, with hindsight exited too early, but with a nice profit for the day. ( Jakes, I hope you're hanging in with that long ? )
Lekkerry, you called it perfectly. Good on you.
Enjoy the weekend.
All we need now is a Shark victory over the Stormers .... Lol

Gold in bear suggests no fear of inflation and also bull view on equity forward

I took a long position @ 34000.

Totally against my trading strategy,

but I cant help feel this was an exaggerated move,

and we have bounced twice before from this level.

Now I wont have a nice weekend and be looking @ my phone all weekend long.

Ai.

33800 yes, but some 'obvious' support at 34000 (J200) first. As always... Let's see :)

The mark of a professional, however, sounds like this:

         It is my fault.  I traded this position too large for my account size.

         It is my fault.  I didn’t stick to my own risk parameters.
