IMO, the 60 min MACD just got very bearish.

Failure to break through to the upside?

Any new low will show strong positive divergence, so change is better we shoot up from here than drop...she is also outside her daily lower bollingerband that is still flat and usually signals a short term low!

60min macd should be enough reason to be and stay long! ;)

I'm short @ 46000, this low open interest only spells trouble for longs, imo. (It just keeps dropping)

Still sitting on my hands

It's a bit foggy out there

Not going to bottom pick ... need a solid reason to take a small long ... maybe we need that double bottom.

Looks like futures knew something equities did not. Equity coming of hard now.

Underlying now up almost 1% and Alsi is not moving. I have opened a small long @ 46050.

Maybe US will take us higher when they wake

Almost all gains from equities are gone now, in about 15 min.

Not looking good, I'm out of my longs

DAX bounced nicely today but ALSI doesn't seem like it is going bounce. Beorn, throw in a couple of longs so that this thing can move

:P,

I dont know what is at work here, but I dont understand it. We should be a lot higher looking at the underlying, which we should be connected to.

comforting to know someone also long off that level.  global indices seem supported as well perhaps some follow through later afternoon

grantmu, I like the simplicity of your two years' worth of work. I am getting stuck with too many variable monitoring and that tends to push one towards more emotional trading again.

I will give yours a shot (already busy with a paper trade).

Thank you for posting.

Kind regards,

Lekkerry

Please also take other precautions, although I use the MACD to determine stay or go I also use bollenger, RSI and 2 custom indicators to help determine entry and exits on the days I think it is not going to work as a long trade. like today I think a bounce is in order and have shortened the stops. Also when the market is moving sideways (on the daily macd) then all the old rules apply to day trading, using the bands, RSI or whatever to time entry and exit. on the sideways days I am happy with 100 or 200 points and as soon as I hit that I usually take the rest of the day off. If I don't get 200 points by 12 in the morning I will stop and look again at about 3:30, and will only jump in if I see something really good setting up, if nothing happens by 5 30 I am out for the day.

Lekker trading.

But open interest still dropping on Alsi.

That only spells trouble to me. I'm staying out for now

You'll be surprised, think this push up (B leg) going to squeeze a few bears, if she breaches the lower daily bollingerband and comes back she tends to surprise!US also needs a good oversold bounce and already showing positive divergence on their indicators too!

Should still be very zig zag this week, IMO the big selling (C leg) only going to happen next week into futures close-out!

A,B and C leg correction = Return move/Major 2 of Primary V!

A

Love surprises  :)

I agree with your take on next week

I agree we should see a bounce of sorts ... but downside risk remains and the next fall could be dramatic

The market is unlikely to be as stubborn as it was at the recent top. I think the reversal will be sudden
